1  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Re: Ripley's Believe It Or Not! Wants My Dress on: May 26, 2011 10:25:39 AM
Amen, Islapiko!  I'd totally let them know the time and effort put into it, plus the number of tabs, plus the sentimental value.. and then say "Please take these things into consideration, and kindly send me an offer you feel appropriate."  I guarantee it'll be more than you expect.

I would personally start by asking them to make an offer.  Once they do (this is a BUSINESS for them - haggling is GOOD), then ask for a little over that, or AT LEAST the 2000 to 3000 vecrutzi suggested.  You might be surprised...

Congratulations!!!
3  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenges / Re: Craft Challenge #50 Peanut Butter Transport - Due May 1 - May 7 on: April 01, 2010 09:45:52 AM
I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO gonna win this one...

I've always dreamed of traveling on a saddled blue whale, thankfully PB holds up pretty well in salt water. Have to work fast though...

Just a thought, but if you go entirely brand-specific, you may be able to entice the chosen company into providing your PB for free, considering the massiveness of the project!

Wow!  It's so funny you mentioned this.  We actually contacted a few cracker companies to donate prize packages, but no luck.

Oh, no, Sweets, you'd be MUCH better off going with the organic/hydroponic celery farms on this one.  Go Green!!

You know, everyone else is going big in this, so I think i will include my bust in my bust PB sculpture!  Off to grab some Skippy to start my DD's!

My preferred method of transport would be teleportation.  So I plan to make a bust of my own head.  But not my bust.  That would just take entirely too much PB.

However, I do have a question:  Are mix-ins allowed?  I have a recipe for those PB no-bake cookies, where you mix in powdered milk and some honey.  That way, we could eat my head after the contest ends!
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Fantasy, Fairytales, Faeries and Folklore round 2 gallery! on: July 03, 2009 11:06:58 AM
I know - I still have two swaps without any feedback, and both have been done for nearly a month...  Wondering if the trolls snuck in with the fairies and ate everyone!

I'm off work (again) for more doctor crap today.  Ugh...  Seeing a specialist in the morning.

It's no problem, LGD Smiley  I knew you had stuff going on!

I'm glad your co-workers like the fairy queen - she gave me a heck of a time, and I definitely think the fae played a part in throwing wrenches into this swap!  lol
