1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Cute cute baby sweater with pattern link on: May 02, 2007 11:54:12 AM
Okay guys, here's an adorable crochet baby sweater pattern. I knit and crochet and I have a hard time finding a crochet baby sweater pattern that I would like to make. Most of the time I wind up knitting a sweater and by the time I'm finished they can barely fit it (slow knitter!). Then I ran across this adorable pattern which uses simply soft. It only took me two days of lazy crocheting and this baby was done. I have included a picture, but it really doesn't do it justice.

Here's the pattern link

Now let's go crochet come baby sweaters!
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / The Princess needs a new collar on: August 08, 2006 09:24:18 PM
Hi all,

I just wanted to share a picture of a collar I whipped up for my 'first baby'. I have a hard time finding a dog collar the fits her, because she is larger than a x-small, but smaller than a small size neck. I decided to get off my butt and design one for her. The first one I made is pretty plan because I wanted to make sure the collar wouldn't be to heavy for her neck (she's only five pounds). Now that I have a prototype made I see more collars in her future.

Shh. She's resting.

A close up of the collar. I even made a loop to hold her 'very important tags'.

Hey! Let's all make something for our furry babies today Smiley
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Seraphina Shawl on: August 07, 2006 01:40:38 PM
Here is a picture of my first seraphina shawl. I made it out of LB Homespun yarn and it feels wonderful. Too bad I made it for my mom.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Baby Blanket and Sweater on: August 01, 2006 12:39:07 PM
Here are a couple of items that I knitted up for my husband's brother son due this month. The sweater pattern came from http://knitwits-heaven.tripod.com/. It's called the Ultimate Quick and Easy Baby Sweater and it's probably the easiest baby sweater that I have tried (and I have made about eight baby sweaters so far). It's not free, but the pattern cost is very reasonable and will pay for itself, because you only have to use one skein of Red Heart Light and Lofty or Baby Clouds. I timed myself and I managed to knit up the whole piece in about five hours.

Here are some pics of my one year old 'Sugar-Love' modelling the sweater

I also knitted up a quick baby blanket. I used this pattern http://touchetcrochetfreepatterns.blogspot.com/2006/01/super-easy-baby-blanket.html.

Hope you like
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Black Alpaca Angel Shawl on: July 31, 2006 12:58:28 PM
Hi all,
I just wanted to share a very quick and inexpensive shawl that I made for my aunt. The pattern was free http://www.styledbykristin.com/free-crochet-shawl-pattern-p06/ and the yarn came from Joann's for less than five bucks. It's Joann Sensations Rainbow Boucle yarn and it's huge (800 yds?). I had that yarn for almost a year and didn't know what to do with it until I came across this pattern. The pattern was extremely easy and straight forward and worked up fast. So, for any of you out there that are looking for uses for Rainbow Boucle here is one.

My mom is modelling the finished shawl isn't she lovely.
