11  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: New Shorts on: May 30, 2007 07:46:32 AM
I love the shorts. Totally hip. Do not worry about the house, looks better that mine right now. I would much rather sew and knit than do dishes or laundry.

Cute dress. Your gathering looks a whole lot better than mine.

BoredOutOFMyMind- You're welcome. Don't worry about it being a little wonky. When you block it, everything will smooth out.

I finished my clapotis a little while ago, but can never get a good picture. Anyway, I decided to put up a so so picture. It's done in Noro Silk Garden on size 7 needles. I used 6 skeins and a little of the the 7th. I am pleased with the finished product, but I don't think I'll be making another one out of Silk Garden. I had some real issues with the random thinning and thickening of the yarn. My next one will probably be out of some Knit Picks Andean Silk Twist I got real cheap.

I love this dress! My husband has a whole lot of 90's club shirts that would look great as little girl's dresses. Wish I were as talented as you.

BoredOutOfMyMind- Okay, first thing is don't freak out, because you may not have to frog all of your hard work. What I would do is rip out those three stitches all the way down to where they are stuck. Untangle it as best you can then fix the first stitch which should be knit through the back loop, then the second which should be stockinette, then the third which should be knit through the back loop. You will have to know how to fix dropped stitches, but there is lots of reference for that I think that may fix it. Good Luck
18  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: big big big sale at www.knithappens.net on: May 02, 2007 12:02:07 PM
I just want to say that the  lovely women at knithappens need to be cut some slack. I made some purchases from their sale and one of my orders was mixed up. It took them a little while, but they did get back to me and my order was taken care of. They were gracious and apologetic  and by the sounds of it a little overwhelmed by the sale. Considering the great deal I got on yarn, it was a small price to pay waiting for the mix up to be resolved. If anyone is having similar issues, give these ladies a call, be civil and polite about the issues you have and I'm sure you will get the same great service I got .

19  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Cute cute baby sweater with pattern link on: May 02, 2007 11:54:12 AM
Okay guys, here's an adorable crochet baby sweater pattern. I knit and crochet and I have a hard time finding a crochet baby sweater pattern that I would like to make. Most of the time I wind up knitting a sweater and by the time I'm finished they can barely fit it (slow knitter!). Then I ran across this adorable pattern which uses simply soft. It only took me two days of lazy crocheting and this baby was done. I have included a picture, but it really doesn't do it justice.

Here's the pattern link

Now let's go crochet come baby sweaters!
