Beautiful!  What a wonderful blanket! Whoever got if for Chistmas must be really happy Grin Are you willing to share the stitch?  I looked for it online, but couldn't find it.

Georgeous!  You did such a beautiful job! I made that pattern, too, but I like your color choices better.  The one I did was in a flat red/ shiny red for the kanji.  I like the way yours makes the kanji stand out.

I got to meet Amy, too, at the Houston International Quilt Festival ~ and she gave me a demo on how to do her technique that show in your blog. (using a plastic soda bottle as a form instead of the cardboard tube).  Great pics, BTW. She has so many beautiful designs, but this is one of the ones I like best, too.

Oh, those are so seriously cute!  I'm so envious of your talent ~ I don't suppose you'd be willing to share the pattern that you made up? My kids would be so excited to have a couple of cute little Totoros on our Christmas tree!

Woohoo! Thank you heini! I just finished my first scarf, thanks to your help and advice.  I'm so happy. It's supposed to be a gift, but I love it so much I might just have to keep this one. After all, it's my first one, so it's not perfect...

But you're right ~ it works up so easy and fast, and looks great. Thanks so much for your help.

Oh!  Well, that would explain why you can read that blog so easily! I'm afraid that's one language where I cannot even say hello, or please and thank you! So please accept my thanks in English. Just one more question, I promise! How long did you make the loops in your stitches. Yours seem smaller than mine, but maybe it's just the pictures. I have been making mine about an inch long, or about 2.5cm.

Thanks again Grin

Wow!  Great photos! They really clear my questions up for me.  I was so frustrated trying to figure it out. Thanks for posting the link. I will take your advice and do the long string and then crochet rows for width. That makes a lot of sense.

Silly question: Do you speak/read Finnish, or is there an online translator that does Finnish? I tried Alta Vista, but it doesn't.

Love, love, love your scarves!  The stitch is great, and I love the colors you used. And your work is even and beautiful!  You had me diving for my crochet hook and a ball of yarn.

But you have to be smarter than the yarn, I guess.  I got the stitch ok, but I am having trouble working beyond the first row. Do you happen to have the link to the blog you read?  Or any words of wisdom for going beyond the first row?

Thanks so much for posting!

Really beautiful!  I agree w/ your favorite, but they're all great!  The photos are good, too ~ nice and clear.

Fab!  My son wants this quilt!  Guess I'll have to make him one like it.  Hope you don't mind?
