1  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Painted Converse (With Images) UPDATED APRIL 10, 2007 on: January 26, 2007 11:11:43 PM
Hello, this is my first post! Wink

I guess I just decided to show you guys what I did when my mother decided to give me a brand-new pair of chucks on my birthday. I absolutely love customized stuff, plus I wasn't a fan of the cream-colored ones she decided I would absolutely love. This is actually just a simple painting job with acrylics. I guess I need some constructive criticism. Cheesy

Here they are:

Shoe 1, One Side

Shoe 1, Other Side

Shoe 2, One Side

Shoe 2, Other Side

They look better in person than in the pictures, but I guess this is already how they pretty much look anyways. Will be customizing more in the future.

Oh by the way, does anyone know if I could possibly stick some faux "swarovski" type things on the shoes (or will they just come off easily?) and how can one make this pair waterproof? I've not worn them yet because I'm afraid to ruin what I did in case the paint starts to run. And the acrylics gave them a rough, "painting"-like texture.. any way to fix that? Should I water down the paint more to make it smoother? Thanks for looking, I hope you enjoy them! Grin

UPDATE:

Added this pair made for my boy.. 2 pictures, a closer look and the pair itself Grin

AND.. the silly cartoon-like pair I was making for my sister, complete with small swarovskis that cannot be seen in my blurry photo.
