Thank you so much for all the comments and the helpful tips, I tried the acrylic sealer suggestion and it works great! Completely waterproof now

Next up in line: Swarovskis on my sister's pair. Will post them next

EDIT: It took me more or less 2 days (but I had frequent breaks in between painting the 4 sides, so I'm not sure how long it really took me. Will try something less detailed next time.)

Hello, this is my first post!

I guess I just decided to show you guys what I did when my mother decided to give me a brand-new pair of chucks on my birthday. I absolutely love customized stuff, plus I wasn't a fan of the cream-colored ones she decided I would absolutely love. This is actually just a simple painting job with acrylics. I guess I need some constructive criticism.

They look better in person than in the pictures, but I guess this is already how they pretty much look anyways. Will be customizing more in the future.

Oh by the way, does anyone know if I could possibly stick some faux "swarovski" type things on the shoes (or will they just come off easily?) and how can one make this pair waterproof? I've not worn them yet because I'm afraid to ruin what I did in case the paint starts to run. And the acrylics gave them a rough, "painting"-like texture.. any way to fix that? Should I water down the paint more to make it smoother? Thanks for looking, I hope you enjoy them!
