12  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Be gentle. First ever post. My first sockie. on: December 06, 2008 12:07:39 PM
Everybody here is gentle except for one for two who are just dicks, so if you ever run across them, just don't pay attention.  You sockie is just adorable and looks just fine to me.  I can't see how you did anything wrong.  Tutorials are not always meant to be followed to the "t" anyway, just to show you how it's mostly done and then you tweek it for yourself.  I can always figure out how to make it easier, I think that's the laziness in me.  LOL  Great job and keep on keepin' on
13  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: matrioshka doll ornament on: December 06, 2008 11:52:07 AM
That is so cute and beautifully embroidered.  Here's a thought:  Make a different sized one each year for Christmas.  You could even make them some the bottom is open and they could nestle just like the wood ones. Wink

What a great saying.  Frame it and be proud  Cheesy

That is so cute and practical.  Where do you get the glow in the dark thread from?

That is so beautiful and what a great sister-in-law/aunt you are.  I think I just may do that for my new grandson.  Thanks for the idea.   Grin

Those are just beautiful.  I love them and I love old fashioned crosses, too.

These are so awesome.  I love them.  I make simple bracelets.  I wish I knew how you did these, I would love to try and make one.  At least one. Wink

That's pretty awesome and go for it.  Make and sell.  I want to do that to but believe it or not I can't even afford the thrift stores.   Cry

The watch came from a dollar store one that was a bracelet type.  You could also use a ladies pocket watch.  I got one a couple of years ago at WM for about $6.  I also used nylon coated wire for the necklace so that it would be strong.
