I took a trip to my grandmas' and one of them unloaded a generous portion of her bead collection on me when she learned I was interested in making jewelry. Last night I picked up some crimps and decided to play around this morning...


Very simple, but I've been craving button jewelry for quite a while!


I now need to learn how to crimp properly and make myself a button necklace...

OMG I want one of these, and I'm 23 Smiley I was Tinkerbell for Halloween a couple years ago and had a miserable costume lol. If only I'd seen this.

And I love the idea of a Daddy Dance. I wish we had those when I was her age.

This is my girl Darcy. She was my $10 tip for driving out to the ghetto to pay a bill for my dad. She doesn't know that she isn't a Blythe, nor does she know that I really would prefer one. After searching for a suitable recipient of painstakingly tiny stitchery, I settled on a Bratz doll that didn't look too devious (or "skankeh" according to the Toys-R-Us cashier).
The box says her name is Jade, but I can spot a Colin Firth fan anywhere; thus, Darcy.

Anyway, this is my first time making clothes this tiny, so be gentle, please.


I call it the pinwheel skirt, using scraps from a shirt I'm making for myself. I'm a little frustrated, because it's still not the right size. Her waist is so tiny compared to Blythe.


I was trying to make a boatneck top, but in my laziness in turning the collar and putting in velcro, I'm using it as inspiration to make a military style jacket.


And one more shot just for fun... because shedding modesty is in her dolly dna.

I've just been looking at pictures from the new Harry Potter film on the movie website http://harrypotter.warnerbros.co.uk/site/index.html (can't wait to see it!), and Luna Lovegood (I think) is wearing a very cute crochet cardi in one pic, and a crochet scarf in another! 

I just saw it last night, and I found myself very much wanting that cardi. It was really very cute!
