The hoodie was amazingly not warm enough. We had bad rain last year, and I nearly froze.

Maybe if you used a lightweight long-sleeved tee?

I was a panda last year, and I found the perfect hoodie, but I don't think it would be too hard to recreate the same effect. It was white with black sleeves, and I added ears to the top and wore black pants and tights.
Here's how mine came out: http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=29880129&postID=115801487944714963

P.S. Pandas are awesome!!
27  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Tigger costume for my little one! on: October 05, 2007 06:51:35 PM
As part of a swap on another board, I made a Halloween costume. I originally wanted to make a hooded kitty jacket, but then I saw a Tigger costume hanging in the thrift store. PERFECT, because I came to find out the recipient of the swap LOVES Winnie the Pooh.

I looked over tons of doll patterns and finally figured out how to make hooded pajamas. I scanned a pants pattern and a long-sleeved shirt pattern, redesigned them to go together in Illustrator. After a trial with other fabric, I finally got what I wanted:

Heidi says (in a very Eddie Izzard voice) "ooohhhh I'm a tiger!"

Learning to bounce with Tigger.
(I'm so tickled that the same day I found the costume I went digging through the board books and found this one!)

All I have left are to make some little yellow crocheted booties and mitts, put in some hooks for the front closure, and mail it off!

Thanks for looking!

I just have to bookmark this, because I'm a reese's fiend, and I NEED to make this Smiley

It reminds me of a really good pie I used to make. Mix peanut butter with chocolate ice cream, put it in a graham cracker shell, and stick it in the freezer Smiley

Oh gosh, I'm hungry now...
29  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: We love our Blythes/Pullips Round 6! (Signups 9/30-10/07 Sendouts 11/07) on: September 30, 2007 09:07:05 PM

Just out of curiosity, how similar are blythes/pullips and bratz? Because this sounds super fun, but I don't the the money for a blythe/pullip Sad

You could get a Licca doll, because their bodies are either the same or very similar to Blythe (a lot of Blythe dolls have a Licca body), and they're less whorish than Bratz :p but pretty affordable still.

If only I had swap experience under my belt, because I finally have a Pullip and would love to participate... Maybe next time.

Shelichan, you and Nemo are gorgeous! I've been on Pullipstyle and HouseofPullip for a while, seeing tons of Papins, but her lips and eyes have never struck me... I think I must have a Papin naaaoooowww...
30  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Why does my Stockinette st look like this??? on: September 28, 2007 05:13:37 PM
I used to purl in the wrong direction, and my stockinette looked like this. I always like to remember that if you're knitting, you're going to wrap towards the back, but if you're purling, you're wrapping towards the front. Clockwise and counterclockwise respectively.
