12  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / water balloon flip flops on: September 06, 2008 04:48:49 PM
Rainy saturday + 400 water balloons + Old Navy flip flops + lots of time= tired fingers and....

please excuse the badly chipped nail polish in this one

the pictures are taken on a camera phone so they're not very accurate. the flip flops are actually teal and the balloons are hot pink, red, yellow, green, and blue
13  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / folder decorating! on: September 04, 2008 01:11:10 PM
so school just started for me today and every year i try to decorate my supplies to make them unique and personalized and pretty much awesome. usually i just do some sort of magazine collage but this year i want something different. any ideas? i mostly have spiral notebooks, 2 pocket folders (free at Staples!), and i also have a very small spiral bound assignment pad. Thanks!
14  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: help please! how do i make this? on: July 22, 2008 03:47:52 PM
thank you guys for your suggestions. i have checked out that website before and i have googled friendship bracelets but this bracelet is not just embroidery floss. its a thick piece of cord in the middle that is then stitched with the string. Unfortunately i dont have a bigger picture or a better description so i think i might be ready to give up. thanks anyway!

16  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: creative zen hoodie on: February 29, 2008 02:04:34 PM
thanks for the comments everybody!

lexi_icedrink: i think i might add sleeves this weekend. woo!

beeshebags: that stinks..the tutorial wasn't that helpful actually. i sort of made it up as i went along using the pieces it said to cut out which are a long rectangle three times the length of the player, a square and a lining for the hood, and a rectangle with folded over corners for the pocket. hope that helps.

this is my creative zen(aka the love of my life)

this is its brandie new hoodie. its made from fuschia fleece(fuschia sounds cooler than pink Wink). the lining of the hood is fuschia and gold with gold string for the pull cord things or whatever they're called. i made it using a tutorial from www.diynetwork.com.Theres a hole in the bottom for the headphones. I was thinking of cutting out a square inside for the screen but i don't know if it will fray? i use the pocket for my ear buds to keep them nice and toasty. sorry the pics are blurry  Undecided

closer up

lining of the hood

thanks for looking!
comments are appreciated!
