1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / New skirt and bows....nahhh...new dress :) on: September 16, 2012 08:08:00 PM
Haven't done very much lately but I just finished this skirt and bows and thought I'd stop by and say hello.

It was driving me crazy that the skirt looked plain so  I just went ahead and made it a dress Smiley

CCs welcomed

2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / DDs dress and matching hair (added pictures of the different colors shes had) on: January 28, 2012 10:51:53 AM
We have been playing with my dds hair since summer before 6th grade, our hair dresser has a blast with her hair.  It has been blue, purple, pink, red, white and now matched it to this dress we found at Deb.  I love having her hair change all the time, we bought the dress to do fairy pictures and thought her hair should match it.  What do you think?

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Autum Pixie Hood from Positori on: November 12, 2011 12:13:38 PM
I made 2 Pixie Hoods from Positori's pattern

http://positori.blogspot.com/2011/10/free-knit-pattern-autumn-pixie-hood.html

My first try didn't turn out just right because I lose count alot and skipped a line or two
I made it with a red chunky Homespun

My second try I paid attention and counted YAY and it turned out awesome
I made this one with one blue and one white Red Heart worsted weight yarn
I did the fringe longer on this one so it can be wrapped around the neck as a scarf

It was really easy to make!  I'm definitely making a few more Smiley
Thanks Positori for the pattern!!

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Halloween Skirts on: October 12, 2011 07:13:20 PM
Had some Halloween fabric around so I made some skirts
(phone pics are not the best)

Hello Kitty fabric, high waisted encased elastic shirred.

Candy Corn fabric, high waisted elastic shirred with ruffle.
I'm thinking about adding straps to this one.

Thanks for looking!
5  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 52 ENTRIES / Sailor Moon bed skirt on: July 06, 2010 10:42:47 PM
I've had this Sailor Moon bed skirt for a while now, I used some of it once to make my dd a shirt and I also made some patches to put on some t-shirts.  Well the rest of it went unused in my fabric stash waiting for inspiration, and it came as Craft Challenge 52 yay!! I give you Sailor Scout out of a bed skirt and a pink flat sheet.

The arm bands go are supposed to be attached to gloves but I don't have any.  I made those using the wide band at the top of the flat sheet, made 3 rows and filled them with polyfill.

The choker and the ribbon on the sailor collar were made using the the hem off of the sheet.  I just cut along the folded hem and sewed it on to the collar.

I cut a strip of pink and glued a gem as the tiara

The only thing not made out of the sheet or bed skirt was the shirt she was wearing. The boot covers were not fun so they look not so pretty.

Thank you for looking

7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Help with modifying a doll on: January 09, 2009 08:00:34 PM
I bought a Wendy Walker doll, regular plastic doll
with the eyes that open and close.
I'm trying to make her not have those kind of eyes.
I want to fill the holes up so I can paint on her eyes.
Is that possible to do? And if so can you give me some ideas on how to do it
Thank you all in advance

8  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Candy Corn Grim Reaper (DDs idea) costume on: November 03, 2008 03:08:56 PM
For the past couple of years we have been making story book characters for halloween
since schools here don't celebrate halloween and just do a book characters instead
DD decided that she wanted to be something different and different it is.
I made it with Gothinc Lolita in mind.  DH made the scythe with pvc pipe and
some plastic stuff named sentra that bends when heated then he air brushed it
candy corn color.

10  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Child Costume: Strawberry Shortcake on: November 01, 2007 07:23:42 PM
I made my daughter Strawberry Shortcake for Story Book Character Day at school (fancy non Halloween name)

Everything was hand crafted

except ofcourse the stockings (sockdreams.com)
and the shoes (yay Goodwill for $2.99 Dr Martens)

The HAT was the hardest thing to make (sigh)
and once it was done I wasn't going to try to add the
strawberries to it (can you say afraid to ruin it)
But the little strawberry on top was the easiest thing ever!
2 triangles sewn on the sides stuffed then the top gathered
and 3 small triangls sewn in circle and gathere for the leaves
attach and tada!

My inspiration
and this beautiful dress I saw on ebay while I was browsing for images.
