Thank you everyone!  I created my own pattern, except how to do the hair. I figured since I've been crocheting since I was a little girl I should try to create my own.  I think it could use a few tweaks, and I hope to sell a few dolls to help raise some Christmas money.

It's been a while since I've posted anything on Craftster.  I've been busy!!  I just finished my very first crochet doll.  Her name is Molly Lynn.  She stands about 1' tall.

She loves to take walks in the garden to see the marigolds.

Her Mary Jane-like shoes come off her feet, and she has lacy white socks.

MANY MANY thanks to Owlishly's amigurumi hair tutorial!  Molly would have been a mess without it!

Comments/critiques/tips welcome!

this is awesome!  I love the stripey socks.  I'm wondering - did you crochet the legs completely in the round, where you can clearly see the change in yarn or did you use a slip stitch so that each stripe is nice and smooth?  Does that make sense?

yeah, I know what you're saying Cheesy I usually crochet completely in the round - I don't tend to use the slip stitch because it leaves an ugly seam I don't like. So when doing stripes I always plan out the color changes so the 'offset' sections are at the 'back'. It's not very elegant, I know >_<

that totally makes sense!  I've always wondered if that would be the case  Cheesy   Thank you so much for showing us your gorgeous creation!
