1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Moderne Log Cabin Quilt on: January 13, 2009 05:02:17 AM
I wanted to let you know that I came across this post a couple months ago and was so inspired that I used your idea to make one for my daughter for Christmas.  It is 'toddler bed' sized, give or take. The picture is not great Sad

Thanks for the inspiration!
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Jewelry Pouch-- WITH TUTORIAL!! on: November 19, 2007 07:08:38 PM
okay, you want two lengths of drawstring.  Take one and put it into the casing and string it all the way around the circle. Then back out the same buttonhole.  Then do the same starting in the other button hole.  It will give you two drawstrings and when you pull from both ends they'll scrunch up the fabric.

My first thought is that they would make a really cute mobile... maybe painted different colors...
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: first wedding anniversary idea on: May 03, 2006 04:29:53 PM
I think that is a fantastic idea!  I'm sad that I didn't think of it myself... I wonder if year 4 is too late to jump on that bandwagon!

9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re: Where the Wild Things Are Baby Shower on: January 17, 2006 09:22:53 AM
The US Postal Service just came out with some new  stamps that feature Children's Story Characters...One of them is a 'wild thing'.

I saw them on this site.  I have yet to find them on the USPS site.

You'd have to buy a TON of stamps to get the right number of Wild Things, but maybe you could trade with others. I think it would be a great little touch for the invites!
