1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Two New Skirts. [Pics/Mini Tutorial]. on: August 21, 2004 09:03:15 AM
Yes! I got them at Target! they were $3.88 on the Clearance rack. I was going to Mexico to get dirty building houses and I needed lightweight pants.. Now that I'm done with Mexico, though, I wouldn't dream of wearing them in pubilc as pants. They're just... too weird for me. Anyway, I bought 5 pairs of them all different patterns. I may make more skirts of a different style out of them.. I'll post pics if I get around to making them.

Oh, and Craftynot, yes I will type out the directions normally. But I think if you enlarged your resolution you might be able to see it (say, 800x600? *shudder*).

Thanks for the feedback guys!! Mwuahz.

Oh yeah... I saw your Star Wars skirt and I thought it was funny because I had just got done making mine Tongue-----* I have a lunchbox too XD

Anyway I bought some really cute plaid fabric and now I dunno what to do with it. I feel stupid making skirt after skirt after skirt so these might be the last I do for awhile.

thank you! even if i'm not as good as the lot of people on craftster, and my sewing is crap of the crappest, i might as well make a contribution of some sort. Tongue

i'm proud(ish) of them anyway.

I made these skirts and have been meaning to take pictures for craftster, but my digital camera has died. I have no hope for it's return, so until I get better camera equipment, I've taken these with my webcam. I apologize for the bad pictures, but not for my thighs. Those I've earned the right to <3!

Stripes:

Star Wars:

I made the striped skirt out of a pair of pajama pants. The Star Wars skirt is made out of curtains.... Because there are tons of Tee-shirt waistband tutorials out there I didn't make a tutorial for the SW one, but here's a tutorial for the other. It's my first one, so I'm sorry.

I would love some feedback if you can catch a moment... thanks Smiley

i've worn my underwear inside-out before, but it was by accident.
i really like the second shirt. it's so raw!
i've been inspired to wear my jeans inside-out! and i may just have a go at Sewer Rat's idea. the underwear over the jeans.
i would be a bit like a superhero. inside-out girl or something.
LIKE QUAILMAN!
anyway, like the shirt.
i'm not going to say anything about your ass. too bashful(ish).

but i like your flippy-out emo hair.

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: plaid & pleated shirtskirt! w/pics on: May 24, 2004 05:47:04 PM
length-wise its actually not so bad. it's hardly as short as one you'd buy from A&F. It comes about mid-thigh on me, cuz i'm pretty short.
the plaid is my dad's old dress shirt! he has tons of plaid dress shirts and he's giving them all to me! i'll be posting more pics as i make purses etc out of them. i'm gonna try a jordy bag!!
