1  First Lace--Luna Moth Shawl in Knitting: Completed Projects by Miss Mermaid Strikes Back on: August 27, 2007 09:09:01 AM
A few weeks ago i decided i wanted to learn lace knitting, and my older brothers wife has a birthday a week and a half after mine, and she is totally the lace shawl type, so i decided to knit her one.  She's from Bombay, and is kinda "oldschool" compared to the rest of the family.  But i enjoyed knitting this and really hope she likes it, I'll probably be sending it out in a week or so. I also made a matching mesh cap, but its nothing fancy.

appearantly the photo thingy doesnt work with flickr...which i ever so brilliantly didnt know when i set up the account...so go look at pictues! no you can see them!

thank you!

6  Re: Personal/Private Swap Gallery - December 2006 in The Swap Gallery by Miss Mermaid Strikes Back on: December 03, 2006 06:21:25 PM
so yesterday i recieved not one but TWO personal swap packages.  one coming all the way from italy from Koi, and one from DC from sweetz_love.  the package from sweetz_love was a FANTASTIC punk ish hobo bag for my best friend annie, who asked for a hobo bag for christmas. so i am doing a personal swap with sweetz_love for it, and man is it great.  the lining is a satiny silky darker red stuff ,which is lovely and pretty to the touch, and the outside is a wool or flannel plaid i believe.  correct me if im wrong.  the package from Koi was a personal planner type jounal with a crocheted cover for my boyfriends father, the journal under the cover is a black moleskine, which i have to admit is a FABULOUS italian journal. along with the journal i also recieved some italian candies which are scrumptious and some awesome felt beads, which will be turned into necklaces soon! THANK YOU LADIES!BRING ON THE PICS!

the hobo bag!

and the journal and my goodies!

i recieved the most wonderful bracelet and earings from laughing lark yesterday, my mother LOVES them, and since im not normally one for stars, even though theyre my school mascot, my mom has officially claimed the bracelet and earings, which is fine because even though i adore them, theyre totally right up her alley! so theyre going to be a christmas gift for my mom, along with some stuff from knitting_nyxxie and a pair of slouchy socks in a lavender wool from sock wars. here are the bracelet and earings.
