11  Re: Embroidery Hoopla R4 - Diptych Round!! (SU CLOSED, SO 3/21/11) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Trish Fantastic on: March 10, 2011 08:25:25 PM
As Babalina mentions...

My lovely little pain in the butt pup (the one pictured in my avatar,) decided that the hoop I made for Babalina for the OWS swap looked awfully delicious. Luckily I was able to save the actual embroidery and have it all put back together in a new hoop.

Luckily he is more interested in the hoops than the embroidery itself. I just talked to my hubbie about putting the french doors back up in the craft room since he has started getting up on my desk. So much for the nice open feeling we have without the doors!

Also, if he got a hold of the your hoopla hoops I would probably faint. I will tell you, he the literally the cutest dog I have ever seen, and will look like a puppy forever but he is so mischievous!!!

Here is a picture of him getting his weekly bath.. that he clearly always needs!

Well, I thought I was going to be sending Babalina's hoop out on time. My dog had other plans though. I think I can salvage the embroidery at least.

15  Re: $4.95 Swap AKA Fill a SMALL Flat Rate Box R3 Signups CLOSED Sendouts 3/25 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Trish Fantastic on: February 25, 2011 08:10:55 PM
Sending in my questionairre now. Sooo stoked.

Things I have to give: a ton of acrylic and acrylic blend yarn, some novelty/eyelashy type yarns, sewing buttons (including a bunch of brightly colored ones), some pin back buttons with no backs (see pic,) assorted pin back buttons with pin backs, as well as some with magnet backs. jewlery making plyers (for bending and cutting wire.) I have 10 3.5 inch x 2.5 inch canvases that I would love to give a new home. I have a few sets of hardware to make dog collars. I will add more if I think of it.

Things I would love to take off of your hands: fabric (vintage, kawaii, modern, solids, linens, etc - but preferably nothing smaller than 5in x 5in.) Embroidery hoops and DMC or other high quality thread. sewing notions, zippers, purse and bag hardware (buckles, parachute buckles, adjustable strap slider things, clasps, handles.) Aida cloth. Basically most anything embroidery or sewing related. I am a little burned out on knitting/crocheting unless you happen to have some gorgeous homespun lying around! Tongue

Uhh, edited to add that photo, lol.

And gamemom42 made these incredible map covered letters of my last name for me. She had some difficulty finding the L so I am soooo glad it came together! It is so much better than I could have ever imagined.

And I wanted to add a larger photo so you could see the scope of the size. Please excuse Princess Leia and her nips, if you must look, look instead at the cupcake tossing ewoks!

Thank you soooo much!!

First, I received two AMAZING cross stitch hoops for my hoopla wall by padfoot. They are just amazing. Anyhow, here they are.

I am a big fan of Super Mario Bros. and have loved similar versions of this. I am so glad to have my own for my wall!

And then this tiny little hoop!

I LOVE foxes, (and crafting! but that is no surprise!) isn't he just adorable!!!

Thank you padfoot!!!! I love them soooo much.

(sorry the pics are kinda crappy, I didn't want to wait until I had sunlight tomorrow.)

I am loving those pendants as well as that embroidered shirt!

Dawl,
I am soooo glad you like it. I totally freaked out when I couldn't find any dolphin fabric, but I think this came out sooo much better. Sea stuff is not my thing but I still really wanted to keep it, haha. Also, did I mention that one of the smaller dolphins  holds embroidery/sewing machine size scissors? I was also in love with that white fabric because I thought it looked like sea foam.

I received these awesome address labels and stationary from Banga. My husband really loved the stationary!! (Although I might have to steal some of it from him.)

Sorry my picture is a little washed out but it shows the colors best on the cards.

Thank you so much!

20  Cassette Tape Messenger Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Trish Fantastic on: January 29, 2011 02:50:57 PM
A few months back I finished this cassette tape embroidery (http://tinyurl.com/6koqqtd) and asked the lovely community of Craftster to help me figure out what to do with it. After MUCH pondering and deliberation I finally settled on making a simple messenger bag.

I used reverse applique to apply the patch so that it sits behind the top layer of fabric on the flap.

And the inside that is bright orange with a slit pocket.

C&C welcome as always!
