1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Simple Cable Cardigan on: August 05, 2008 10:10:35 AM
Wow, this is really nice.  I love the subtle cabling and how it adds to the shaping.

Any chance of a new baby pic?
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Yosemite Sweater on: June 18, 2008 05:25:43 PM
Hi all,

Here is my completed Yosemite sweater, from the Spring Knitty (www.knitty.com).  It was a really fun knit!

I used KnitPicks Shine Worsted in the colourway Laurel.  Thanks for looking.

You are really amazing.  I love the Roy Mustang.  Can't wait to see what else you come up with!

BTW, you should totally do Mulder and Scully.  That would rock.  Just give them little polyclay flashlights and cell phones.  There's a new movie coming out, you know  . . .

Amazing.  The detail is exquisite.

As usual, I am blown away by the cute and the attention to detail.

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Hourglass Jacket (Broomstick Lace) on: May 05, 2008 06:47:02 AM
i'm still working on the entirely-brookstick-lace Athenian Scarf,  and I think that after that project, i will have had enough broomstick lace to last me a while. Smiley

The Athenian Scarf was the only other thing that I ever did in broomstick lace.  Once you've done that, the Hourglass Jacket will be easy!

The broomstick lace pattern is really easy.  Actually, if you go to the stitchdiva site, they have detailed video tutorials on it.

I used Elann Sonata (from elann.com) in Peacock, and an E hook.

Wow, thanks everyone!

To keep the broomstick stitches even, I used a size 19 circular knitting needle.  It worked very well and was long enough to keep all the loops in place.

Hi everyone,

I just finished crocheting a great sweater/cardigan from www.stitchdiva.com called the Hourglass Jacket.  It's a fantastic pattern, and works up really quickly because the broomstick lace rows are nice and tall.

Close up of stitch detail:

I made a few modifications to the collar and buttonbands that were quite simple.

Thanks for looking!
