i was JUST thinking about this too after i came across an esty store (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=585189). where would you buy something like that? it reminds me of the backings/ settings used for gemstone rings. also what is the correct name for something like that besides 'frame'/ 'backing'/ 'setting'/ 'benzel'? when i do a search, i get a whole bunch of stuff that i dont want (though the polymerclayexpress. com site was good).

what is a shrinky dink? do you start off with a large peice of plasticy material and bake it to shrink it?

edit: nevermind! i see the large thread about it in the discussion section

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / how would you make leggings like this? on: March 23, 2007 12:05:51 PM
if you guys frequent facehunter, youll notice some people with leggings that cover the heel but leave the toes exposed:

how would you go about making the foot part while using one continuous peice of fabric? would you just make regular leggings longer? lol

Here's mine
Finding the fabric took 5 stores because none of them carried knits. I finally found a grey stretch fabric for only 2 dollars a yard. The cutting was actually easier than I though but sewing it was a pain because the fabric kept stretching. But it looks fantastic right now. I can't wait to make another one.
how did you make the skirt?
