1  A fluffy polka dot hoody for not so hot summer evenings... in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by rosetinted on: July 02, 2008 12:54:13 PM
... I made this hoody recently for fun. It's in a stretch fleece in oatmeal [it is sooooo soft!] and the hood is lined with a red polka dot poly-cotton. I luurve it! It so big and fluffy, its like wearing a hug! The bow is a bit crap, but it matches the lining. Ooh, Ive also made some cat ears to sew on the hood... do you think it would look good or a bit lame? They're also lined with the polka dot fabric.

I followed a burda pattern, but I cant remember which one. I think its a pretty good first attempt at a top! [Ive only ever made skirts and dresses before]

2  Bambi, Podracing and Vader on a mushroom? IMG heavy? in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by rosetinted on: July 02, 2008 12:43:10 PM
Seriously... Star Wars is alright... but these things make me seem like a jedi wannabe! The photo quality is a bit crap, my cameras good, but when I try to resize the image, it looses its quality which is a bit rubbish.

These are some drawers I painted, stencilled and decoupaged. I made the bambi stencil [I think it was the third Id ever made] and the podracing paper was some leftover wrapping papaer from my brothers birthday that i thought was cool. The outside is actually bright gold, which is a nice contrast to the turquoise, but it doesnt show up very well here.

... and this is a stool that I gave a makeover to Smiley... it used to be green and horrid with a rooster on it. Now it looks like a mushroom with darth Vader on it! Hoorah Smiley

3  A whale's tale, 60s style bambi and an overly excited octopus. Mixed media ftw! in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by rosetinted on: July 01, 2008 11:16:21 AM
I finished my exams, so Ive been doing some painting for myself recently! Sorry for the poor quality images...

I havent finished painting this yet, Im planning to add a border and work over the collage in the speech bubble... Also its quite annoying that the cardboard I chose to paint on has fold lines in it! I really love the whale though, im so pleased with how it turned out Smiley

...the skull says Grindhouse underneath it, cos Id just watched Deathproof [love that film]

Im not really sure if I like this! It was an experiment with painting some 60s style designs. Milk and Honey was the name of some dub song I was listening to at the time Smiley

4  Take one horrific leopard print sheet and an old pink dress... in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by rosetinted on: November 04, 2007 01:00:35 PM
... and make a cute little tutu! I found the leopard print sheet in a charity shop for the waistband, and for the ruffles, I used a pink dress that I no longer wear. It was very simple. It uses a hook and eye closure.

I wore it to a Pendulum concert last night... it was so perfect!

...erm, smug face expression reads - 'I'm going to Pendulum!'

Sorry for the blurry/off centre shots  Wink.

5  Rupert the fantastical pink tiger... in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by rosetinted on: August 21, 2007 12:46:32 PM
I painted this pink tiger last Tuesday. The background is gold and its painted in acrylic on a massive piece of cardboard [trust me, its nearly as tall as myself, although thats not saying much!]. I prefer painting on cardboard to anything else.

I thought Rupert was a suitable name! He was going to have a crown, but then I realised that might be a bit unrealistic.  Cheesy

6  WLTM Male Unicorn with big heart and glossy mane... in Stenciling: Completed Projects by rosetinted on: May 21, 2007 01:32:58 PM
This is my third attempt at stencilling. I'm really happy with how this turned out!

It says 'I only Date Unicorns'.

I'm meant to be revising for my GCSE's, but I was feeling a bit fed up with Seamus Heany and Gillian Clarke, I had to do something a bit crafty.

I'm sorry about the crap photo quality, I tried to resize the pics but kind of bodged it in paint and the pics have gone all pixelly and horrible.

Now I've gotta go revise for my Lit exam tomorrow!
