1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Pattern finding help on: May 11, 2008 07:27:11 PM
So I know this is probably a simple dress to make, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a detailed tutorial or pattern to make something like this?  Thanks!

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Trendy Scarves? on: December 23, 2007 10:55:08 AM
I have a cousin who is 14-years-old and a very trendy girl and my mother would like for me to knit her a scarf.  What's trendy right now in terms of scarves?  What colour is trendy?

Lace scarves?  Bulky scarves?  Stripy scarves?  Thin scarves?
I have no idea!

Please help me!
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / What is this stitch? on: November 26, 2007 11:38:54 PM
I saw this scarf and it was something I had to make because it just wouldn't be winter if I didn't knit myself a gaudy pink scarf:

Does anyone know what stitch it is, or if there's a stitch similar that would produce the same effect?
Thank you!
4  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Need help figuring out how to make a mask on: October 14, 2007 09:00:13 PM
I need to help my brother make a mask for his 1st grade class.  He wants to make a tin man mask.  I need some help.  First of all, which would be better to make it "tin" - aluminum foil or silver paint?  Also, how do I make the face distinguishing to the tin man?  I'm not exactly sure how to make the mask at all.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Knitted Ear Mittens! on: April 04, 2007 07:53:20 PM
So I was knitting in class, because I was bored and we were doing nothing.
And my Sam friend comes up to me asks me for a pair of ear mittens, an idea she's had for a while, but unable to make because she can't knit.  (that is a really poorly constructed sentence -- sorry!)

And after working for 5 hours straight, I came up with ear "mittens" that look more like hats, but nonetheless, serve their purpose.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Some FOs on: February 20, 2007 10:48:12 PM

Cuffs made from a pattern I got on here I think... they didn't come out right LOL but they're okay

Irish Hiking Wrist Warmers.  The third thing I ever knit  Shocked

A scarf I knit for my mother.  It didn't come out great, and I get a lot of cracks from the menfolk on how they'd like to use it for fishing.

The back of a sweater that is taking me foreverrrrrrr

I've knit other stuff I'll post soon Smiley
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Two Christmas ornaments I made on: February 20, 2007 09:59:17 PM
Yeah I know it's two months late LOL

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Christmas dress posted two months later on: February 20, 2007 09:49:34 PM
I decided to make a black dress.  It's from a pattern in the early 70's I believe.  I wish you could see this dress, it's so gorgeous in person and fits perfectly.  It's incredible.

Hope you like!

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Please help me! on: February 20, 2007 08:29:30 PM
My friend has a birthday coming up and I have a few things for her, but I want to make her some sort of fun accessory for her car.
She's turning 18 and she lives in her car and loves it.

I can pretty much do anything as far as crafts go but I cannot draw to save my life.

Thank you so much for any help, suggestions, or ideas you can give me.
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Resizing T-shirts?? on: August 19, 2006 11:06:12 PM
I'm a fan of feminized men's sportswear shirts (I think they are so cute!!) and I was wondering how you resize shirts.  I have basic sewing expertise.  I found this men's referee shirt and I knew I had to resize it for myself.
