2  the day I made shorts in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by mudstar on: April 12, 2009 05:24:27 PM
Being sick for the past four days, I decided today was the day I was going to get out of bed and finally make the shorts I've been wanting to make for a month. I've been sewing for a long time, but I had never made a pair of pants from scratch, so I really wanted to try it.
At first I had decided to make it with a front zipper, but couldnt quite figure it out (maybe it was the cold) and couldnt find a tutorial for that either, so i decided to change the whole design I had imagined and make it with buttons.

this was the sketch

So I needed a jacket to wear over my new blue dress for a very important party/celebration and of course I decided to make it myself.

Making the collar was a litlle tricky but still got it perfect in the end Smiley

I only had purple, but it was kinda hidden anyways

6  Flowery top out of a mens overzised t-shirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by mudstar on: December 16, 2008 01:24:39 PM
I made this top out of an extra large mens t-shirt I bought at a discount store for 1.99
Fitted it and added the white flowery jersey, which I think made it look awesome

 Grin

The t-shirt looks black on this picture, but its actually navy blue.

7  Small / Short jacket in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by mudstar on: December 11, 2008 08:42:33 AM
I made this a long time ago (2006)
sorry for the crappy picture, please ignore the mess in the background (and the orange hair I had back then)
I didn't use a pattern, just based the design on an old blazer I have.
I just love it (I'm wearing it right now)  Wink
The fabric is blue with tiny lime green flowers. Also added lime green buttons
