3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / book/website suggestions? on: October 26, 2006 08:15:37 PM
I was wondering if anyone had a good suggestion for a book or website where i can find info on stuffed animal construction.I eventually want to make my own patterns but I need somwhere to start-I'm trying to make them up on my own but they definately are not turning out. Thanks for any ideas.

Thanks for your ideas so far. I'm interested in all different types of stuffed animals-anything unique and from any culture. Asian type books are interesting and art dolls/animals.

Also does anyone know what cloth they put over the polymer clay faces or how they attatch the polymer clay face to the body? Thanks:)

Thank you mustang 7 Smiley
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: Dog underwear????!???! on: October 06, 2006 04:32:34 PM
My mom actually just bought a pair of doggy diapers for our aging, incontinant family dog. They are shaped like a gloth diaper with elastic gathering along stomach and leg area. There is velcro on the stomach side tabs and on the outside of the rear. Theres a small tail hole and an inner pocket to insert a feminine pad or incontinance pad for absorbancy. The outside is made of blue jean material and it is lined with a thick flannel. I drew a picture of it on paint(sorry its a little rough)
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: Remember that crazy red room? Well, I moved.... on: October 05, 2006 07:35:24 PM
I like all the ideas you had in your old room-artwork and stuff. But i definately prefer your new room. Its really peaceful and relaxing. It comes across as a thinking type room. I'd also like a tute on the wall shelf..

What sort of space do you live in(apartment, house)?Have you tried laying the books sideways on your bookshelf and stacking them.creating a floor to cieling book shelf by attaching one on top of another? i always say if worse comes to worse under the bed, in the back corner of the closet, stacked up any where out of view where you can squeeze them in. I hope this helps

You Could have pre cut silhouettes of circus type animals(a choice out of four)and provide glue, pom poms, yarn, crayons, markers etc.
make masks from paper plates or cloth let them decorate those.
have circus themed sugar cookies and provide frostings to decorate.
they're just a couple of ideas...i hope they help.

Is granulated sugar the same as brown sugar?

Granulated sugar refers to the size of the sugar crystal. I think you can get brown sugar in a larger crystal form but usually "granulated' is used to refer to white sugar.
Brown sugar is"whole" sugar without the molasses removed. White sugar has been processed and bleached.
