you'ld have to make up a set of goggles as well, or buy a set and spray paint them Smiley

i love clothes based on fictional characters.  i've been meaning to make my daughter a Daphne (scooby doo) outfit for ages, keeps slipping to teh back of my mind.  i really should get on that!

34  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Miyazaki Swap SIGNUPS 9/11-9/25 SENDOUT BY 10/30 on: September 21, 2006 02:46:50 AM
i feel the same as lubeoil!  i really want to do this swap but i dont know if i could create something worthy.  i've only seen princess mononoke and spirited away, so i'm concerned i wouldnt be able to make something for someone whose favorite wasnt one of those..

i cant wait to see the gallery for this.  what a brilliant swap idea.

Take the weekend to rent and see My neighbour Totoro, Kiki's deliveryservice and Howl's moving castle and you can join! Smiley

good idea!  Grin

40  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap 13! on: September 14, 2006 03:12:28 AM
Vinny...I have to ask (but I know that sometimes it's hard to give away our secrets).....Did you make that adorable bag out of a child's cloth picture book?  I LOVE it!!!  So clever!

yep Smiley

it's one of my childrens toys they've grown out of.  it got a good wash and then unpicked, the pages were matched up so that each bag was it's own rhyme,eg "duck sheep cow and pig...  go into the field to dig".  i think that knottydotties bag has a squeaker in it, one had a rattle, another a mirror.  then just sewed it together with a lovely red lining and added a handle.

knottydottie - i'm glad you like the hat, and it's good to know another kid will enjoy this toy!  recycling is so satisfying.
