91  Re: A Very Merry Supernatural Christmas in The Swap Gallery by cursive_queen on: December 04, 2011 02:23:29 PM
I received from Cloverlilly yesterday.  Everything was wrapped in the nice christmas fabric that is the background in the photos.
There was a gummy candy kit that seems to have escaped the photos.
She sent me a great cross stitch that says' All I want for christmas is a winchester".  Its now by my stocking and after the holidays, I'll move it to my my hoopla wall

Next is this great wist inspired pouch.  I love the pink piping.  I've never tried printing on fabric, you did a nice job

She sent me some angel inspired jewelry - a cross stitched necklace and an angel wing bracelet

And she sent me extras to make more angel jewelry

Everything is great - thanks Cloverlilly

Also... Sweet geek told me she got her package and everything was soaking wet on the inside.  I was so upset, I wonder if they dropped it in water or what.  2 of the items can be washed, but ornament was ruined.  It must have been SOAKED because the decorations came off, and they were epoxied on, so it had to be wet enough to cause the wood to swell. Sad

93  Re: 11 Quilts in 2011 Quilt Along in Craftalongs by cursive_queen on: October 02, 2011 06:07:52 PM
Here's a baby quilt I made for a doctor at work for her second baby.  I gave it to her in the nick of time, handed it to her on a friday, and she ended up having the baby the next day!

I worried that the outer dot fabric and the inner green stripe were too close in color (there was more contrast in the fabrics when I looked at them online.  The backing is solid, the same color as the binding.

Baby blanket for co-worker's second baby

and two throw pillow covers for the couch

Here's 3 things I've done for Aug/Sept

New Curtains for our kitchen.  Of course.. they are slightly uneven and I should have bought 2 packs of grommets and now I can't find the same color  Undecided

Camera Hoop for OHS Rd 3.  It gave me the excuse to buy a camera embroidery pack from Kitchy Digitals

Lacksadaisy Comic Hoop for OHS Rd 3

Here's my wist inspired hoop from Robinpich.  She based it on some fabric I had on my wist of beakers and made it 'nerdy" with the glasses.  Her daughter drew up the image - isn't it cute?  Thanks Robin !

...And to keep things craft related...
Here's what I finished in July and have been terrible about posting.

Baby blanket for friend with squares drawn at her baby shower

More pictures here

Sprocket pillow from pattern on cluckclucksew.  I really liked this, though I have to mend where the button is as the fabric was separating.  It was a good destash of fabric and I have some more planned.

Hoop for OHS rd 2 - her theme was bigfoot (already signed up for round 3 - it's additcting! And after I post - think of like a zillion themes I could add...)

List for August
-Finish hand binding japanese themed quilt (this is taking so much longer than I thought)
-Finish 8-bit fez x-stitch
-hoop for OHS Rd 3
-cut fabric squares for friend's baby clothes cloth (I'm helping her -- so I'm counting this)
-start green cable scarf for bday present in Sept.

For my friend's babyshower last september Roll Eyes I had people at the shower draw on rectangles of fabric so I could assemble them into a quilt/wall hanging.  I finally picked some fabrics and got it done
