My last finish for October. The much beloved/hated Amy Butler Weekender bag. I changed a few things, I used 2 different fabrics on the outside, one of them being laminated to that it could be wiped down. I lengthened the handles and I added pockets to the inside. It definitely is time consuming and can be hard to manuver on the sewing machine. It's for my stepdaughter to take on trip.
Im a fan of Heather Ross's fabric lines and have a few pieces from other lines. When I saw the Briar Rose collection this summer and the layout for this quilt - I knew I had to have. This was the first time I had ordered an entire fabric line. I pre-ordered it as a birthday present to myself.
The colors, prints and layout just make me feel happy and smile
A small finish from this weekend. It's basically a giant pin cushion for my daughter to display and keep pins since they all won't fit on her bag at once - and she can enjoy looking at them. Have decided if I'm going to hang it on the wall or just display it on her bookshelf or something
Photo is rotated to the side, - but not sure how to fix that using the quick upload
This is my finish for March (Im just slow at getting pictures up). I used Boo Davis's pattern from the Hip to Be Square book. The browns were mostly stash- I had a bunch of these retangles left over from some patchwork pillows. The backing is stash too - Ikea fabric. The binding, which is hard to see is a light green with tiny white dots
Here's my february finish - a star quilt for my older sister. I've done this pattern several times but for some reason, this gave me so many fits (probably all my fault for not double checking things) but still!
