what kind of knit baby items were you thinking of superhooker? i'd be interested in something for my friend who is due in sept, she likes natural, eco friendly stuff. any ideas?

I can knit hats or booties or little baby sweaters.  If she's into eco friendly, I can use an organic cotton...it is super soft!  I can also do bibs, and probably soakers, I just have to find a good pattern for those...I tried to knit some for mimiw, but it was coming out incredibly small!

A2K or anyone who knits/crochets, go to my site and download the free program demo for basics knitware. it has a "pants" portion that you can size any size. Soakers are only woolen pants with little ease.

here's a link:
http://www.cara4webshopping.com/c-44-knitware-downloads.aspx

If you need help, I purchased the full basics program and will send the pattern if you just want me to help that way.

New items added to shop:
unfinished woven poncho, needlework blocking bars, knitted cupcake pincushion WITH PINS, and unmounted rubber stamps.

Okay, I have to show the great package I received from RhymeswOrange:

(clickable thumbnail photos)

Here is what came out of the shipping box:

All wrapped in pretty paper and ribbons!

An AWESOME wallhanging:

I have to take a better photo, it was much too dark the day I took it. This is so beautiful and does no justice to the colors. I promise the first sunny day you'll see its total awesomeness!

then I have this wonderful necklace, I love the fish with bubbles, so cute!

And I thought it this was a necklace, but can you guess what it really is?

It is a wonderful row counter! Isn't it pretty? and another cute fish. (Can you guess I like fish?)

Then a wonderful jewelry hanger:

see the fish? here's a close-up:

And this is jewelry, too, its a pin! I just love the pin and its hanger!

And then some beads with another fishie bead and a "smile" bookmark:

Thank you RhymeswOrange!
I was totally spoiled in our "small" swap!

I want you all to behold the lovely package I received from SugarySweet:

First, my dear, dear sister-in-law begged me to give her my poppet, and NO WAY girl! So she said can I "pay" someone to make one for me? (The girl has no idea of what it means to buy a hand crafted doll, like "$200-$300?) But she only wants a "naked" poppet, because she likes to hand sew the clothes. okay . . .

But I received the BEST poppet! Bad enough to not to know who you are yet or where you are going. I couldn't embarrass her by actually photographing her naked. She is most timid. So I knit her a wrap. She is impeccably stitched. so perfect!:

And here is a close-up of her beautiful face, eyes, hair:

Then SS made me something for my "victorian" bathroom. A perfectly hand embroidered picture. I just love it!:

SugarySweet, then made a organizer/pocket wallhanging, with bright colors and florals. LOVE the colors and fabric choices. It is so long that I folded it to get it all in the picture:

I love cardmaking, and all my partners get me a wonderful ATC alphabet set & rubber stamps, but look at what SugarySweet got, 1.5 inch ornate squares! Outstanding!:

Okay, must stop for tea. NO PROBLEM, yummmy! Yes, a box of sweet, spicy tea:

Now onto my wonderful supplies, fabric, papers of many kinds, diecut paper/frames,
cards, and more goodies:

Amazing isn't it? I've been totally spoiled!
so what can I say but:

Thank you so much, SUGARYSWEET!!! I loved swapping with you. I LOVE EVERYTHING!

Okay, I asked for a round pattern a while back. I promised to show you what I did with it.

Well, I never used the one you found, instead I chose another dishcloth pattern, one like a snowflake.

Well, I handspun some wool for a friend, and here's what happened:

I turned it into a hat! Thank you so much.

Now to actually try a dishcloth, lol! I promise, I will knit the round dishcloth, ahem, as a dishcloth??? we'll see.

hey, all. I have deliberately stayed away from shops, as I have no points and an item on reserve! I have to do something crafty today.

atsuko, love the sea creatures, oh if I only get some points. . .

Last night I watched Monk marathon and knit a beret, mostly. It is made from lapoli's gorgeous by the sea batt, mullerlanefarm's tunis fleece, and some llama fleece. It turned out really well.

I used a 'dish cloth" for the top, then improvized a fair isle pattern for the next section, and I'm currently knitting the ribbing. Will make the ribbing as thick as the rest of the ball I spun.

I'm rather pleased that I could design as I went to create the hat.
Thanks lapoli & mullerlanefarm for the great spinning fiber!

Hey everyone!

LL lured me back early. Had to have the headless angels. Only I wanted them for a fringe/noisy bracelet.

Such great crafts! Glad I came back early. And we are still discussing bacon, you all made me hungry as I read the back pages.

I'm working on unusual (I hope) resin pieces. here is one:

I'm wondering, should I just add a jump ring? I have this very fine cashmere yarn, and I was thinking of adding it as a cord, it is pale yellow. How would you want this finished if you were buying it?
