I tried it with some cotton kitchen yarn, just to see it up close.  I made a dishcloth and you weren't kidding about it being really stretchy! I'm going to have to fold it in half and stitch it up, but I still like it!

I'm still working away... slowly.  I started to think 30 st. may be too wide, but the giftee didn't seem to mind.  I thought about folding it in half when it is done but I want to wait until it is longer to see how that would work out.  I will post pictures as soon as I get access to a cam again!
And if anyone is scared of entrelac, don't be Smiley  personally I think the worst part is picking up the stitches, but I'm even getting used to that.
14  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: My First Quilt Was a Riot of Color... (Image Heavy!) on: December 14, 2006 07:52:52 PM
I love it.  I wish I knew how to quilt!  I would buy that at a store in a heartbeat.

I really love your colors!  It's so fun and pretty!!!!!!

I have been thinking of filling mine into a square as well, but I have a feeling once I'm done I won't want to have a whole nother section to do.
17  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Joker Hat, Bee Patterns anyone? Oh, and dishcloths too... on: December 08, 2006 11:57:18 AM
I'm looking for an easy Joker hat- anywhere from doll size and up to actual person size.  Also any amigurami bee patterns would be appreciated.  I've searched and haven't quite found what I'm looking for.  Also, any fast, pretty and/or fun dishcloth patterns?  I know this is broad, but I'm trying to brainstorm at this point! Thanks!

I think some other people have had the same problem.  I'm not sure if adding stitches would help or not.  Maybe someone else who's been there and done that knows.

I'm still working, although I am sidetracked by pesty ol' xmas gifts right now.  I have to get some more yarn to continue, but once I do it should be finished soon! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just join your next color (CC1) like you would whenever you change colors.  Personally I thread it through wherever the old yarn is coming from and then knit with both strands of the new yarn.  Hope that makes sense.
