I'm from Durham.

I agree with the poster above. Where do people get supplies? I tend to visit random shops - like pound shops and thing to get bits and pieces. Does anyone know of any good (and cheap!) craft shops in the region though?
4  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / U.K. AND IRELAND / Resin Moulds on: October 04, 2008 08:15:39 AM
Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of somewhere I could buy some silicon resin moulds (the flexible type). I've got myself a wide variety of fancy ice cube trays which work well, but I really want some plain shapes - rectangles or ovals etc. The 3 by 5 cm size range would be great but any size really - just bigger than standard ice cube size.

Thanks for looking and many thanks to anyone who comes up with anything! Smiley

Those look amazing!

I've never seen resin rings in real life before, are they heavy on your fingers?

Thanks! No they aren't really that heavy - no more so than an average chunky ring!

beadingjunkee - thank you!

Chelsea k - I do sand the bottoms of them - where the ring attatches but that's all. They come out of the mould looking like that.

Hello,

These are the latest resin rings I have been making. I'm new to resin and have had to have quite a few attempts to get things right but I think I've finally managed to make something half decent!

Thanks for looking Grin

Love this - and yeah I would be interested to know what type of tape (or whatever) you used if you're willing to share the info with us! Grin
