1  Resin rings in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Jings_things on: September 15, 2008 11:33:37 AM
Hello,

These are the latest resin rings I have been making. I'm new to resin and have had to have quite a few attempts to get things right but I think I've finally managed to make something half decent!

Thanks for looking Grin

2  First resin success in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Jings_things on: August 30, 2008 03:16:50 PM
I bought some resin a few weeks ago but wasn't very successful with it at first. However I've finally made something I'm happy with. Thanks to GothChics for her helpful hints!

I was wondering of anyone has any advice on what I could seal paper with when I use it in resin. Also I've been trying to use some of those foil stickers (I have seen people use them succesfully) however the colours keep running. Any ideas as to what I could seal those with would be very gratefully received! I live in the UK so products I would be able to get over here would be best if possible.

Thanks for looking Grin

4  Drift wood treasures necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Jings_things on: January 20, 2008 02:31:21 PM
Hello everyone,

This is a necklace I made from a piece of drift wood that I picked up on the beach. I rubbed some gold acrylic in to give it highlights, glued on some gold chain and pearls and added an anchor button. Finally I drilled a hole with my Dremel.

Hope you like it! I would love one day to sell my jewelry - I like to think my designs are a bit different and I would love your opinions/comments!

Thanks Grin

5  Treasures of the deep necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Jings_things on: November 11, 2007 12:49:54 PM
Hello everybody,

I found this shell last year and kept it as I thought it would make a nice necklace (especially as it already had a nice hole at the top!) I filled it with a mixture of pearls, beads, an anchor button and a necklace charm that I lost some of the stones out of ages ago!

I am quite pleased with the results:

6  Pink and black shoes with buttons in Shoes: Completed Projects by Jings_things on: October 19, 2007 06:07:27 AM
Hello everybody,

These started out as a pair of light blue flats (sorry I didn't take before pictures). I used acrylic paint and a permanent marker pen to do the checky design.

I'm obsesed with buttons so obviously I had to include some somewhere!

Thanks for looking Grin

7  Two new necklaces in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Jings_things on: October 02, 2007 05:55:16 AM
Hello everybody,

Just thought I'd show you a couple of things I've been making

The charm to the side is a little bow just incase you can't work it out - sorry my pictures aren't very good!

I got this idea from a thread that was one here a couple of weeks ago asking how to make plastic jewelry. I cut this diamond shape out from plastic from an icecream tub. It's actually quite strong!

9  Most favourite bag I've ever made! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Jings_things on: September 24, 2007 12:59:58 PM
Hello everyone,

I've just finished making this bag. It's made from a piece of vinatagey material I bought for 80p and some chain and a button that I already had. As I only used half the material it came out total cost at 40p! Grin

I would appreciate any comments! Thanks Cheesy

10  3 necklaces, two rings! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Jings_things on: September 16, 2007 05:17:34 AM
Hello everyone,

Here are a few things that I've been making. I appologize in advance that these are not the most original of ideas but I thought I'd still share them! Grin

Firstly

A bird necklace

This is actually made out of ice cream tub plastic and marker pen! I can't seem to find shrinky dink in the UK so these seemed like a good alternative!
The bird has a little jewel on the end of its wing.

Secondly,

A cloud necklace

This is made of some pearls which I had which I wired and glued together. The 'rain drops' are little heart beads!

Thirdly,

A strawberry necklace

I randomly found this plastic strawberry on a beach in Scotland about 6 years ago and its been travelling around in the glove compartment of my dad's car ever since so it must be one of the world's most travelled plastic strawberries!!! It was a bit faded when I found it so I painted it up!!

Fourthly,

A lego ring

I've seen them on here and else where before but I fancied one and it's just for my own use I wont be selling so I hope no one gets mad!!

Lastly,

A button ring

I liked the retroness (if that's a word!!) of this button!

Comments appreciated! Thanks Grin
