These didn't come out quite as I had planned, but I'm still pretty pleased with them - I just wish I was able to get some better pictures! I've got plans to make one for myself for December Victorian Strolls, Christmas Parties and a Yule Celebration. Woo!

Brass is by far my new favorite metal - I think it has so much more of a bohemian feel to it (:

The first pair is an assortment of antique lace, pearls, peacock feathers, beads, crystals, etc - the mixing of metal and textile is my new favorite thing!

Made with some fairly raw wool from http://www.etsy.com/shop/wildwoolfarm in shades of white/cream/brown and some recycled sari silk yarn. I really love the texture of minimally processed wool + recycled silk

this set is really cute (i think) but sadly is not nearly as flattering on me as i think it would be on others - it has crystal flower buttons sewn all over it   


i made this hat as a custom order for a scientist in WA that was leaving his lab in order to go on a nomadic and impromptu adventure through Africa. So exciting! i hope he sends me some pics of him wearing it while he travels

true colors

I'm soooo happy with this neck warmer (or is it neckwarmer?) It's made with random feather I had lying around, beads, recycled sari silk, reclaimed acrylic from a hideous sweater, and some wool. Basically anything that was in my apartment got put into it. I want to try this same method (or non-method) with some other scarfs...not so sure how it would work out with a hat though...

Both are freeform crochet from novelty yarn 

my current favorite - A tiny spotty feather floats on little waterfall of fine silver chains and vintage iridescent silver glass bugle beads and rhinestones.


These earrings are made from a shell/mother of pearl clover with a little red bead inside suspended from long black chains.


Made from two polished coconut shell hoops held together by brass chains with a dark purple bead hanging in the opening of each hoop.


Jesus is Whispering in your Ear!
These earrings are made from a collection of vintage and costume necklaces and earrings. They are made from gold chains tipped with green glass beads of various sizes and amber colored beads. Each earring has a religious icon pendant as well - one features Jesus and the other Mary (there are also images on the reverse side, one has an angel and I'm not sure what the other is, looks like potentially Moses, but I really don't know).


A pair that i really like for their simplicity. I call them "The Naturalist" They remind me of something i imagine Darwin would wear...had he been a woman?
A chunk of quarts and three pink/peach shell spikes hang from sterling silver french hoops and are connected with silver plated findings.


Fortune Teller Earrings
Antique blue glass bugle beads and vermeil chains and intricate filigree work.


Formerly mop/shell buttons and Swarovski, now earrings!


These earrings are made from a hollow rectangle of orange agate (I think, I could be making that up) with a line of graduated deep red Swarovski crystals strung up the middle on silver. The is hand cut and has some milky veining in it.

I don't even know where this stuff came from. It's bits and pieces of stuff from here and there - old broken necklaces, beads, bracelets, a wind chime, some beads i stole from my sister etc. that I've reconstructed into earrings.
