your tutorials rock the house yo! that could only be better with more pics of the rows. awesome. and pics of how you did the eyes  Wink those are awesome too.

alas alak i have not started my dolly yet, for shame Embarrassed
i got asked to angel for my swap, we had a flaker ~oh no!
so i've been embroidering for HouRs! but it's worth it.
and i also couldn't resist signing up for the halloween stuffy swap, hee hee! so i am going to have fingersful of felt for ages. and i've decided to go on a trip to toronto for the long weekend to introduce my new baby to old friends. BUT, i am so super fast with this stuff and that is one LONG drive so i can at least get something done along the way.
i'll have a dolly in no time, you'll see! just have to find the eyes, limb joiners, yarn, sewing machine (!) etc in the basement!
*shaking head at self*

ok, my swap is done and it was fun! but i just signed up for another one Roll Eyes i couldn't resist, it's a halloween stuffy one, how perfect! but i'm slowly finding all the things i need for my dolly, they are in my unpacked basement  Undecided but i'm wading through the piles of stuff, slowly, slowly... wish i had a fabric store nearby, that moley fabric looks terrific! oh well, working with what i have for now. sure it will be awesome!

i have eyes down there somewhere but in a pinch i can embroider them.
and i think i might bake the nose on it's own and then put it in, that will work right?

super cute!
my wee girl is only 13 weeks old but i know i'll be saying "when did she get so old?!" in no time. who knows if she'll turn out to be an aspiring fake chef but i'll have to make a set of these just in case!

any chance you'd share some pictures of the felt food? i've been making some felt fruit lately and i'd love some more inspiration!

oh, those are adorable! love the pumpkin pants, hee. i used to call my boy pumpkin butt when he was small  Cheesy

this was a terrific first swap girlies, thank you to lasandri and greenapples for organizing it and for all the busy mamas for getting crafty! i have to do it again!
here are my fabuloso onsies from greenapples!

turtle, so cute

for the little princess, of course!

ok, now here is my funny story...

when i got started i wanted to embroider a stingray 'cause i think they're nifty so i looked around online and found a site with ocean creature clip art http://arthursclipart.tripod.com/fishbw1.htm
i found a cute stingray, copied him out and stitched him up only to discover that his, um, stinger...well, you look at it.

i showed it to my mom for a second opinion and at first she was all "oh, it's so cute!" until i pointed out his little appendage and then she just laughed at me. we agreed i should maybe choose another pattern. and that's partly how i ended up making 6 patches!
now what to do with that funny stingray...
