1142  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: burr bear on: September 09, 2006 02:24:55 PM
No gloves. They are sticky more than prickly.
1143  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Big Wire Ball on: September 09, 2006 01:45:18 PM
This was a project for school, for a class on material and form.
This was the piece I submitted for "space", as in area not as in outer space.

It's quite large, about three feet across.

There's a box made of paper suspended by Mylar thread in the center.
1144  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / burr bear on: September 09, 2006 01:41:45 PM
Photobucket broke half my photo links with a silly "upgrade" (grr) a while back. I've been slowly repairing them all but this one is lost and gone forever "sniff".

It was a little teddy shaped bear made of the sort of small annoying burrs that cling to pets and clothes and are an all round pain in the you-know-what. So it was fun to craft with, ha! And turned out adorable. So sorry you missed it Cry.

These things here...
1145  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / brilliant octopus on: September 09, 2006 01:40:24 PM
Midnight crafting session with craft felt just because.

1146  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / T shirt and corduroy baby quilt. on: September 09, 2006 01:37:08 PM
Took about 25 hours of labour, all cut and pieced on the floor, ooh my back! One double square has a zip in it with a corduroy alligator appliqued behind it for a neat little peak-a-boo surprise.

The batting is fleece for easy washing and drying. Almost totally recycled fabric too!
1147  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Pyramid hide-away pillow on: September 09, 2006 01:33:15 PM
I made this for someone who loves corduroy, patchwork, argyle, green, and pillows.

It zips apart into three separate pillows and the black fabric is super soft minky so when it's together you can stick your arm into it like a giant muff.
1148  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / used to be a post until photobucket broke the images, sigh. on: September 09, 2006 01:01:14 PM
Darn that photobucket anyhow. One of their upgrades broke half my image links. I'm slowly repairing all my posts but this image is lost foreves. I don't think I can delete the entire topic, sorry!
