joann's (in the US) is having a sale today and tomorrow (sun/mon), my mom brought me their flier (to torture me? must be since i can't GET there, ARGH!)
anyhow, alova 2.99/yd, moleskin 3.99, microsuede 4.99.

hey ghilie, i've copied the pattern onto card stock and was thinking about just tracing it onto the fabric instead of using the freezer paper. thought i'd ask you though, do you use the freezer paper to stabilize the fabric?

once upon a time my little boy asked me to draw a picture of a monster as he was describing it to me. when we were done we had a drawing of an absolutely hideous creature with about every appendage that could be added to it, it was so fabulously terrific! i promised him we could make it into a stuffy one day and what better time than now?
so here it is ~the magical, four tailed, fire-holding, flying, blue haired monster~. an afternoon well wasted.
his name is herman...

that's like those maury povich shows where the guests are terrified of tin foil and cotton balls, so tragically funny  Cheesy

ha ha don't check your mailbox yet! it will probably be one of the last stuffies received, it has to travel SO FAR! and don't worry about sending yours early, even a bit late is ok with me. you have kids! i know how hard it is to get anything done with those small hooligans underfoot. i just happen to be blessed this time around with a child that puts herself to sleep while i am brushing her brother's teeth and then stays sleeping ALL NIGHT! she's an angel.

yes, i have an entire basement dedicated to crafting (and storage and laundry), i really lucked out on this house. BUT it isn't completely unpacked or sorted out yet so the kitchen got hit last night and is now an utter disaster! stuffy bits and pieces EveryWhere. looks like a stuffy masacre  Shocked very spooky.

DONE!!! and i love it so much i want to keep it myself. i totally didn't know what to make so i just winged it and it turned out good. took forever to find stuff in my messy craft basement though Tongue
and now it's 3am. i could have taken more time, the post office is closed for two more days!!! what is wrong with me? *obsessive compulsive*

this is an AWESOME site with free doll patterns but the best part is the hints and tips section at the bottom of the page. check it out.

guess what i found? gorgeous chocolate brown slightly stretchy brushed cotton pants at the second hand store for under $3 that will make the BEST brown skinned poppet for my friend's little brown skinned daughter. i can NOT wait to get it done and sent off to her for xmas, i know her mom is just going to CRY over how much they both love it, ha ha!

ghilie, i can't thank you enough for this pattern, it's making me ridiculously happy! Kiss
