What kind of "emergency supplies" did you put in the kit?  I'm going to be a maid of honor in March, and I'm looking for all the things I should keep in mind.

I really wanted to do something along these lines, even used DL to come up with a pattern, but then I picked up a pattern for some giraffes that I'd like to give to my mom for Christmas, so I've been working on that....a lot.

I use the full "Standard" version of PC Stitch.  I like it a lot, for me, it was well worth the $40.

One other option is to go to a store or online and get one of the PC Stitch "Pattern Pieces" CD-ROMs.  I've seen them all over, even in the local AC Moore, so I imagine you can find it.  It comes with a copy of PC Stitch Lite, and the CD-ROM is $10, well worth it.  http://www.pcstitch.com/Pieces/Default.aspx

I think I've asked this before, but I can't seem to find the record of it..

What stitch do most of you use for the outlining in your embroidery projects?  Or, when do you use each kind of stitch?  I got Jenny's book, and once I have an iron, I'm looking forward to trying some of her patterns (totally cute!), but I was wondering what people more experienced than I used on a day-to-day basis for each type of fill...

Satin stitch seems to be the stitch of choice for fill-ins.  But what about outlines?  Or anything else I forgot at the moment...

one of these days i'm going to start embroidering, but first i really need to purchase an iron (how i've made it almost 27 years in life without an iron i'm not sure i can explain).

HAHA I have this project sitting on a frame waiting for me to start it, but I have three big projects I'm working on, so this one has gone by the wayside.  All I've done is sort the threads.

Anyway, it looks great, maybe one day I'll actually start.....and finish it.

The greens in Yoshi and the mushroom are similar to those in the pirhana plant and I used DMC 700 and 702.  I hadn't posted this yet cuz I was going to make a case for my DS Lite and was going to put the entire finished thing up...
