1  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Fitted Knits-along ? on: March 05, 2007 08:12:51 AM
I'm finishing up the sleeves on the textured tunic. I had to rip 3 times because of gauge issues.  I'm using KP Decadence and it really is decadent.

I just started the Chunky Cardi that she's got in yellow.  I'm going to use pink KP Sierra for spring.  I just got past the arm increases.

I am desperately in love with the lacy wrap cardi and the Jacky-O cabled cardi (can't think of the name.)  Is it really going to need 10+ skeins of yarn fora smaller size?  I know cables eat up yarn, but that seems like a huge amount.

I made my gram a shawl out of this and after alot of use, it started to look matted and not nearly as nice.  She wore it really often though, so take that into consideration.

Tri-aran-angle is from knitty.com

There are lots of dk weight sweaters in her book.  I am really enjoying the knits from there.

I'm a 34" but made the 36-39" size for a little more room underneath.  I just need to sew my pocket onto it and weave in my ends.  I'm hoping to wear it to school tomorrow.

I used Colrain from Webs in Grape Jelly and it's so nice and soft.  I did the short sleeve version and am adding a pocket.  I made it a little large so that I could wear a long sleeve t-shirt underneath and am on the seed stitch at the bottom.  I can't wait to wear it!!!!!

I got it in Grape Jelly.  The color description is perfect. It's so reasonable too.  This is definately a yarn I'll use again.

I bought some for Wicked too and I love how it's turning out.  the colors are so vibrant.  I don't know about wearing yet, but the colors are great and it's really soft.

Very nice.  The lace stands out nicely.  I wasn't as inspired by the original, though the pattern is great, but this is lovely.
