1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Lets See Pics of Tattoos You Designed! on: August 27, 2010 07:14:28 AM
Wow, wicked looking scorpion. I've always heard tattoos on bony areas hurt a bit more... Is this true for skull/head tats? None of mine have hurt anymore than the others, but I am also a fluffy gal.  Wink

i have seen large men reduced to small, wimpering blobs from skull tats.  imho, skulls, ribs, stomache, hands, and feet are usually the worst, not necessarily in that order.  hands and feet aren't terrible unless you get down by the knuckle area.

(the picture's from my phone.  but for those who can't quite make it out there's a little black heart, the konami code, and a new-school spray paint can.)

and here's the new one i designed for myself:

4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / HST vector art on: August 27, 2010 06:33:11 AM
so the other day i woke up and thought, "today, i will try to make vector art!"  couple of hours later, this is what i came up with.  i don't think it's too bad for a first try : )

the good doctor, hunter s. thompson:

to those of you who are vector art masters: what should i try to do better on the next one?  any tips or tricks you'd like to share would be appreciated!

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / polymer clay cake jewelry set on: December 21, 2008 06:46:57 PM
i made this for a friend's birthday.  she loves purple and japanese street style; so i tried to combine both.  it was my first time working with polymer clay, and i really like how it turned out.  the large cake is a charm for a necklace, and the two smaller cake pieces are earrings.

comments/critique always welcome and appreciated!
9  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: coptic bound travel journal on: December 18, 2008 08:09:14 PM
thank you for you kind words everyone!

amiemoo- the ribbons are indeed attached.  they are glued in beneath the endpapers on the backs of the two covers.

frogz- the fabric-looking part of the cover isn't really fabric, it is just some fancy scrapbook paper that my friend gave me.

i'm just... stunned by this.  that is a LOT of frames.  i don't think i'd have the patience to ever do something like this, but the end result was awesome.  : bows to your masterful ways :
