21  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Clover Grace: Pet Portraits on: June 11, 2006 04:52:28 AM
I used to never paint because my grandmother always made me feel like because I couldn't paint true-to-life, then I couldn't paint. Six months ago, I discovered I like to paint and I'm pretty darn good! I use acrylics on canvas. May I present to you...my new talent!

The first painting I did: (16x20")

The second: (16x20")

An ebay seller I like paints like this, but I couldn't afford to have him paint Clover so I did it myself: (8x10")

Clover Box:

Clover in the Grass: (3x5")

And my two attempts at water color:

22  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Random Dog Clothes on: June 11, 2006 04:43:22 AM
When Buttercup, my latest foster dog, got adopted, I wanted to do something special for her new Mommy. So I took the leg off a pair of jeans, rolled up a collar, and we all wrote well wishes and what nots on it. Her new Mommy was surprised and pleased!

This is Buttercup in her eyepatch a coworker made her when her eye popped out and was sewed shut for two weeks. Since she was like a pirate, she wore the hot topic pirates shirt I made into a dog shirt (for some reason, I can't find a better pic than this one):

This is a toddler San Jose Sharks shirt I altered to fit Clover. (Please excuse my fat.)

Tippy, a co-worker's dog in an outfit and matching fashion collar I made her for her birthday (she turned 6!).

Tippy again in a simple dog shirt that I made to be sure future shirts fit her (she's "fluffy").

No pattern for these. I crochet in circular, one long enough for her body, a smaller one for the neck, and attached the two. I usually stick them on Clover when crocheting them together to make sure there is enough space for her legs. I've done more than two, but I have no pictures on my computer of them right now.

This is Buttercup. She was my foster dog.

This is Penny Rose, another foster dog.
24  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Clover Grace: More serged shirts on: June 11, 2006 04:30:43 AM
Again...just breaking it up into more than one post so I don't overwhelm anyone's computer.

(This one is made out of a tee that used to say guide dog puppy trainers and now just says guide dog. I got the shirt at goodwill.)

These two were made a bit longer:

Recently I finally figured out how to re-thread my serger, so I have created new dogs shirts! These are more that will eventually end up on my sister and my etsy site.

26  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Clover Grace: Shirts, shirts, and more shirts! on: June 11, 2006 04:22:17 AM
These shirts were made out of a white jean material, edged in lace, and written on. They were experiments and I don't think I'll make any more. Clover's not in all of these since you wouldn't be able to read the writing.

27  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Clover Grace: More Shirts! on: June 11, 2006 04:14:56 AM
I'm going to break down the shirts into a few posts because I know it can be slow to upload for some. Here are more shirts from that same photo shoot from the last post:
Feel free to ask for a top or bottom view. I just didn't want to put too many up at once. The shirts are made of scrap fabric and lined in felt. The last shirt is made of felt with no liner.

Hello! This is my first post. I've made many things concerning pets, so I'm going to break it up into a few posts because one post would be photo overload.

May I now present you with shirts I made out of fabric and felt with a regular sewing machine before I figured out how my serger worked. Clover is modeling them. I was going to put them up on eBay, but I couldn't figure out turbo lister (It's been a while...) so that will have to wait. I hope the photos work! (You can tell Clover likes clothes, lol.)
