1  Re: Dotees - Mini Art Dolls - Round 11 (send out 11/04) Gallery in The Swap Gallery by clovergrace on: November 11, 2010 11:49:33 PM
I received my final dotee today! Technically it arrived yesterday, but since no one checked the mail (UPS brought a couple of packages that all four of us forgot to check the mailbox), I got it today.
Pixiefirefly did such an amazing job!

I love all three of my dotees! Thank you every one of you! This was my first swap in months and it has been very enjoyable. Thank you! Thank you!

I sent mine out to my three partners today, and when I came home the one from Smmarrt was in my mailbox! Isn't she adorable? She used the map of my county, which is so awesome! I love how personalized and unique it is!

4  Clover and Bee Bathroom Curtains in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by clovergrace on: July 04, 2010 03:01:21 AM
Finally made curtains for the front bathroom, after about a month of tossing the idea around in my head. Both were supposed to end up looking like the top curtains, but I didn't have enough fabric. I had just enough yellow to for tabs, so that's what I did (though I never was much on tabs). I eventually will sew buttons on the tabs as well when I find some nice big yellow ones (and being that I finished them at 2:30am, there was no where to go for the buttons before I put them up). There are also giant pleats between the tabs.

5  Re: Completely Random Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by clovergrace on: August 10, 2008 12:06:24 AM
I got the best package today! JustCheeky is THE best swap partner ever!

Opening the package...(That's my dog, Clover Grace, helping out)

Clover Fabric! And I love the lady bugs with them, too! The cutest clover fabric I own to date.

Everything I pulled out, with pressies still wrapped up!

Note papers and POSTIES! A random fact was I love post it notes.

Stamps! These are so cute! I love the pawprint and how big the four leaf clover stamp is! And the stamp on the ink pad is a lady bug crawling up the stem of a four leaf clover that she bought off of etsy just for me! (Jealous yet?)

One of the random facts I gave her was I collect belt buckles. And she sent this coolest belt buckle!

JustCheeky asked me what was something I've been wanting to make myself and I never get around to doing. I said an eye mask because I get migraines often and have to lie down and it makes me light sensitive. She even made the strap a little loose because of that! My package actually came while I was napping in the middle of the day, so I know this will be used quite often!

This is made from something I had wisted. Turns out, the one I wisted had been made by one of JustCheeky's friend's that she didn't know was on craftster! So she graciously told her how she made hers. This is JustCheeky's first attempt at a stuffie and she did a fantastic job!

Last but not least, she made this adorable pouch for my ipod! She even made a mock ipod to be sure mine would fit! I love the polka dots! (You can't tell, but my ipod is in it in this photo.)

Obligatory ipod-in-pouch photo (and my earphones fit in it too!)

She was really the best partner ever! I haven't even put anything where it belongs yet because I keep going back and looking at all my goodies! Thank you so much, Jen! (Special thanks to my twin, Titancia, for resizing, cropping, and adding fun little bubbles--which surprised me too!)

6  Re: Jar of Mini Whimsies Round 2 Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by clovergrace on: July 21, 2008 09:47:49 PM
Okay, I have to say this has been my favorite swap of all time and I have more than the three on here (I did an endless amount on Nervousness.org before the new handlers went nutty...anyone else ever on there?). I got totally spoiled! Prepare to be jealous:

The Jar (notice the trees? How cool is that!)

The lid with beads and keys!

The Snail and Fish (My favorite things)

Shrinkies, buttons, domino, bowling pins, green heart love pin, and the blue ball even lights up!

Thread, suction cups with hooks, measuring spoons, teddy punch, glass marbles and magnets, knitted book mark

Clock hands, word beads, a die, tags, diaper pins...

Overview shot of everything (Lady bug is my nifty note!)

I've got even more photos on my flickr! Some things I haven't named are a ziggy cup, 4 mini ink pads, scrapbooking brads and paperclips, ribbon tied to the jar, gingerbread men, worry dolls, a pack of confetti and bits perfect for resin, buddy holly and white stripes pins, two crochet hooks, and the cutest mini harmonica you ever laid eyes on...and it's all mine!

I made eight aprons last week! I used one of my mother's aprons as a pattern. I am not one to use aprons, but I love making them. I have so much fabric in my room, I told myself I am going to use some of it up before I allow myself to buy any more!

If you like what you see, I've got more close ups on my flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/9880458@N06/

8  Re: Post Photos of Your Tattoos! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by clovergrace on: March 09, 2008 07:29:57 PM
After watching this thread for ever, I finally made the move to post mine. My parents bought my twin sister and I tattoos for our birthday, which is in August, but we didn't get them until a month later. This was in 2006.

Dawn went first. She has always loved the Titanic (the ship, not the movie), hence her username, Titancia (Ti-tan-see-a). Because we have a weight problem, she didn't want jokes from getting the ship tattooed onto her body, so she got the White Starline flag, which is the company that owned Titanic.

It is in the middle of the upper part of her back. It is not this huge, it's just the angle. It's not even an inch big. She had not a problem with it.

I, on the other hand, had a huge problem getting my tattoo. It took about an hour and a half for both of us and I took up the most time. It's not that it hurt, but I had a problem having something continuously going in and out of my skin and forgot to breathe. Which lead to me almost passing out. They had to stop so I could go into the bathroom and wash my face...I almost puked. I felt like such a wuss. When I got back, they put alcohol on my face and a fan. My dad (family event...all four of us went together) talked to me until he finished.

Mine is of my dog's pawprint. I took a print that i liked, he outlined it, then filled it in. Her name is Clover Grace, thus the clover in the center (and my username, haha). He wanted to do some shading, but I was over it at that time and needed him done. I need to go back for touching up and to get the leaves defined a little more, but I'm too embarrassed to go back, lol.

It's not longer on one side than the other, i'm just stretched funny. We got our tattoos done at Indian Ink in Salinas, CA.

My next tattoo will be of a painting I did. This is Patron, a pit I fell in love with while working at the city shelter. He didn't get adopted, and thus was put to sleep (people around here aren't fond of pibbles and there are quite a few). I want this to commemorate the time I worked there (I had to leave cause I needed a full time job and not part time). I hope to get this done in the next couple months or so. We'll see. I'll be going to Goldcoast in Monterey for this one.

9  Personalized Scrabble Nameplates in Completed Projects by clovergrace on: February 22, 2008 09:27:53 AM
Here are some scrabble nameplates I made for everyone at my old job (the city animal shelter) and now for the shipping company where I currently work...I even made one for the head boss (though a photo hasn't been posted yet) and he said it was the best present he ever got from an employee.

I made them for the shelter when i left back in sepember as a going away gift. i made some for my department for christmas. the rest of the department got them afterwards.
