21  Re: How can I make this? in Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions by gypsysoul3 on: August 31, 2004 11:07:42 PM
This is the one I made (as stated above). The picture is a little weird, so you don't get the "full effect" but you get the idea.
 Sorry it's so super huge!

22  Re: Glass Picture Marble Bracelet in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by gypsysoul3 on: August 31, 2004 05:31:44 PM
This is the bracelet I made from the disc charms i mentioned in my last post (i quoted it below,  in case you missed it. hee.hee.)

It's a picture of a rooster--i love those guys, we have chickens and roosters that roam our neighborhood, and i can't get enough of 'em (oh, and i live in the mountains of hawaii, so it's a little more "normal" to see chickens and such).

i found these awesome Disc Charms: http://www.mantofev.com/charms6.html 1 and 1/8th across including the loopies on the side. 80 cents each! sorry i didn't know how to inset a picture of them, and i didn't want to "steal" the pictures from her website, so you may have to scroll down.   (from www.mantofev.com ).
I only bought one to "test" if my glass marbles would fit onto it--and it's a perfect match, so now i have to go  order more. you'd have to loop them together to make a bracelet or necklace...but it's just a suggestion, something different, i guess.

23  Re: Many Uses For / Incarnations Of Picture Marbles in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by gypsysoul3 on: August 02, 2004 12:11:03 PM
ok, MissTee_2, and bluehariedmary...i was all excited to post my pictures, i've been making these marble on ribbon necklaces for awhile....and i see you two have already posted the same "style" that i use.
oh well...here are my pictures anyway, i don't know if you can tell, but the picture is of a compuer "esc" (escape) key, and it's got a pink tint to it. i liked the idea that it seems sort of anti-technology, or like saying "escape..." or something.

sorry if the picture turns out huge. i don't know what's up with that....

p.s. bluehaired mary, i love your picture (of the dog) and that phrase, "craft or be crafted." soooo great!

24  Re: a really simple notebook in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by gypsysoul3 on: August 02, 2004 11:57:32 AM
i'm going to see my fave band ever, Phish, in VT in a week or so, and i made this little memory album to take with...so i can take little pictures (w/ my izone) and write down the sights, sounds, ideas, magic spells, set lists, addresses, lovely poems, you know ...from the weekend...i wanted to share...
this is the front...it has a line from a phish song, "this has all been wonderful, but now i'm on my way" the tickets for the show are really pretty w/ flowers/dandalions on them, which is why i did this w/ the yellow and flowers.

and this is the back, i sort of messed up, and did the holes/picture wrong, so the back is kind of "upside down" compared to the front, but again, i just used a phish lyiric, "twist around" to fix that. the back has a picture of the guys, and says, "whatever you do, take care of your shoes."

sorry, i don't know why the pictures look so big.
pretty simple, but i love it!

thanks again for the great idea! i've made so many of these, and i love them.

ok, here is a picture, it scanned kinda funny, but it works. i tried to scan the instructions but i don't know if you'll be able to read em at all. It looks pretty easy, i was just wondering if anyone had actually made it yet.
