I think you did a great job with the lace pattern, and the color is lovely! You could remove the buttons and use it as a scarf...  ; Smiley
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: The Big Knitted Pouf on: January 09, 2008 08:25:18 PM
the pattern looks like it is just knit in garter stitch like a scarf and then yarn is woven through the long sides and pulled tight...maybe start experimenting with that.

So I made this hat

sorry, I don't have any pictures, but there's a free pattern for ya.
I would like to block the crap out of the lace part, does anyone have any ideas how I would do that?
Lay the hat out flat?
Thanks in advance for your help!

That sweater is so pretty! So when you wash it, will the colors fade/change? I always wondered about kool aid dyed yarn...

I think I like your unbiased better than the one in the pattern! It looks awesome!

Your airy wrap sweater is truly an inspiration. I have the yarn to make mine, but all I have seen are sweaters that look like there is a tire around the wearer's waist! Yours looks wonderful. I might give this a go now.
10  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: My fairly easy fair isle on: October 17, 2007 07:30:58 PM
Aww thanks you guys.  It's not just the bagginess of this sweater, it's the yoke being tight across my shoulders. When I wear it, I can't raise my arms! Not only that, but I am not the best at fair isle, so my stitches in the color pattern are stretched...argh. I am just not happy with it.  It's my *PERFECTIONIST* personality, I guess. My plan is to frog this baby and turn it into the spicy v neck from Fitted Knits.  It hasn't happened yet. Smiley
