1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / How can I attach sleeves to THIS dress? on: July 28, 2007 06:58:51 AM
Hi everybody,

I just started sewing the Azalea dress from Burdastyle:

http://www.burdastyle.com/creation/show/289

here's Crafty_Witch15's version of that same dress

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=180876.0

So here's my problem:
I want to add sleeves. I have a lot if Burda patterns and magazines lying around here. Do you think I can simply take the pattern of a sleeve from another pattern, let's say from a blouse pattern like this?:
http://www.burdamode.com/index,1270777-1474962-1474966-1474971-1475094-1475097,enEN.html

Any help would be great!
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Peter pan collar tutorial? on: July 28, 2007 06:43:39 AM
Hi Maliaka,

there's a Peter Pan Collar Tut here:

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=54151.30;

It's not for stretchy material though...I'm not an expert but I'd say there are no big differences in the material used for a collar. But so far I've only sewn a collar out of non-stretchy fabric.

Good luck!

Oh, that one is beautiful. Very classy but still casual depending on what you wear with it.
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: drastic resizing=my new favourite dress! on: May 06, 2007 02:46:38 AM
Wow, respect for resizing the whole thing! I'm always having such a hard time to adjust patterns.

As far as I can see from the pic the dress looks very well done. How long did it come out?

Oh, and I love the fabric!

Oh, that's cute! I think you can totally go without a belt, but as a variation....why not? I would take a broad white or green one.

I'm not sure what exactly you mean. If your problem is how to read a pattern, try this:

If further questions arise ask them here on the board. And don't forget: There's no such thing as stupid questions. Wink

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Side seam zipper insertion...I don't get it! on: April 28, 2007 04:56:53 AM
Sorry, no help from my side, but I'm totally interested in this too! I'm about to make a shirt and would like to transfer the zipper from the back to the side seam.

Anyone out there who has done this?

Wow, those are both really beautiful. Like the second one best.

Good work!
