I saw then on a home improvement show used as storage.  They drilled holes throught the back and attached them to the wall with the opening facing out.  They were used to store misc. item like towels and toys.

I bought the book too and have started on the scarf.  I couldn't find any affordable yarn so I am using cotton thread and will then try and dye the individual pieces!  Hope it works.  Cross your toes for me. Embarrassed
