1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / I made 4 bags on: August 26, 2005 11:50:27 AM
Hello, it's been a while that I don't write something here, but the other day I finally had a chance to sew again. I made four bags "in a batch" (cutted and sewed them all together) and I saved some work hours this way. Do you use to make things together? Do you have any special hints about saving time so to make more? I always have timing problems Smiley

Anyway, here are the bags, any feedback is welcome. Thanks for looking, ciao!

3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / My new website - please can I have your opinion? on: June 17, 2005 08:53:29 PM
Hello, I've just set up my website, complementing my previous existing craft blog, and featuring a little shop section to sell the things I make.
It's online only from few days, I'm sorta still working on it adding links and such, and there are a couple of things I know I'll have to fix, but.
What do YOU think about it? I'm interested in all the opinions you may have, both good and bad, any feedback would be appreciated.

Here's the link:

thanks a lot, ciao!
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Lined zippered pouch from partly recycled materials - before and after on: April 10, 2005 06:15:32 PM
Orange felt, bright yellow zipper, dark denim jeans and azzurro (how do you say that color? light blue?) and orange stars heavy cotton huge shirt, that I found at Porta Portese (the weekly, famous open market here in Rome) for 1 euro.

Thanks for looking, ciao!
5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Three pouches on: March 21, 2005 05:55:24 PM
Thanks to MissErika's tutorial, I managed to sew the lining underneath the zip on the inside, which I couldn't make before. So I made these 3 pouches for a trade.

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Finger cozy .) on: March 19, 2005 03:42:39 PM
I had to proof myself I could still crochet something, yet irrelevant.
Meet Miss Fingah:

Fingah likes to wear pearls and stay warm while shopping around the city. Here she is, greeting to you from Piazza di Spagna.

But now it's time to go to the most a la page party in town, where all the big personalities are, so she needs her two obnoxious, nudists bodyguards. Let's go guys!

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / PomPon Bags on: January 24, 2005 01:56:02 PM
This is the purse for my alterego Super PomPon Girl, who saves the world without losing style!  Grin
(yes, I'm an idiot, I know it).

I remembered to sew an inside pocket this time, but forgot the velcro closure, which I think was a good idea since the top is wide open. The bag, a basic "jordy", is made from all vintage material: the exterior is wool and felt and again wool for the pom, the lining is from a tablecloth, I guess around 1975-78 (it was my mother's).

What do you think about it? I'm asking for improvement, so please feel free to tell me anything you think I could do better or different!  Smiley

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / The Chiara tote on: January 19, 2005 04:58:37 PM
So, I've just completed the 7th bag so far in my life (for no reason, I started counting them today)...this make me a really experienced sewer, I guess!  Grin   I call it Chiara because it's the name of the friend I made the bag for.
First time making a "Jordy" (that's incredible I didn't try it yet, I know), and also topstitching and using a zigzag stitch for sewing the applique. I planned to sew a little pocket on the inside, but I totally forgot in the making of it   Roll Eyes
Any opinions are welcome!

9  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects / Mimo girl (machine embroidery) on: December 29, 2004 07:58:08 AM
I'm not sure if is correct to post it here since it's machine embroidery...anyway, this was my first "big" try with the new sewing machine, which has an embroidery unit, and a software to edit images and embroideries.
When I started to sew with the old machine one year ago I would never tell that I could do something like this one day, so, you have to understand, I'm amazed!  Cheesy

10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / The Tata Tote on: December 29, 2004 07:22:14 AM
My lastminute gift to my aunt (also known as "ziatata", where zia is the italian for aunt).
Cotton out and viscose inside; it's partially reconstructed because the lining is from a skirt I didn't wear anymore.
What do you think? ciao! Smiley
