201  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: First post, first bag on: May 10, 2004 08:57:29 AM
Thank you girls, you're too kind!  Cheesy
The fabric of the bag is from an old dress (my aunt's); actually, I have collected lots of unused apparel (mine and/or friends's) that I plan to recycle for my sewing projects (yes, there will be more!  Shocked). I like the idea of transforming one thing in another and the imaginative process to realize that. (Also, this way I can be guiltless for wasting money over my messy attitude! hehhe)

Huh
Baci a tutte e due!
202  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / First post, first bag - Updated! Little birdy pouch (on page 2) on: May 09, 2004 03:39:19 PM
Don't know if it's correct to start a new topic, new to posting to the forum although I am a long time lurker. And, sorry for my english, I'm not mothertongue.  Lips sealed
This is my first bag ever, nothing special I know, and the seams are also a little bit messy, but it makes sense to me because I'd never ever thought that I could made it... I grew up with a super crafty mom, whom I was often compared to like the "black sheep", so I always felt unconfortable with crafting or nothing even far manual - until I discovered Craftster and all you smart and gorgeous people! Smiley  Thank you all, for the awesome ideas and ispiration (and tutorials also!); i love this community and the way it pulled out the crafty side of me! Smiley

Ok, stop babbling! The pics (the last image is a little purse I made before the bag, like a try to become more familiar with the sewing machine):
