1  Re: $4.95 Swap AKA Fill a SMALL Flat Rate Box R2 Goodie Gallery in The Swap Gallery by sparklypants on: July 01, 2010 02:21:44 PM
Received a fabfabfabulous package from Panthermoon today!  Lots of great paper ephemera, beads, buttons, charms, and other goodies. Spent a while sitting on my floor sorting through all the amazing paper, it will definitely go to good use in some collage projects. Can't wait to start crafting!  Some pictures:

The whole lot:

2  Re: Fill a match box R3 (send outs by June 30th) in The Swap Gallery by sparklypants on: June 28, 2007 03:35:17 PM
Here are pictures of the first two packages i received:

1) Box from catdaddytn (made from paper she marbled herself!!)

The goodies she sent- paper and fabric samples, stickers, those fab sequin-y things, and my favorite- a glow-in-the-dark star!:

2) Box from yarnisfun- very cute, summery, plaid box with a flower. It came inside a bigger box with a bunch of glittery hearts and some stickers:

Inside the box!  Small charms, beads, a patch, googly eyes!, a sticker that says "create", a puzzle piece...but my favorites are the mini-erasers, they remind me of elementary school!

4  cherry blossom glasses case in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by sparklypants on: April 22, 2007 09:44:06 PM
i made this for the Pimp My Glasses/Contacts Case Swap, but my partner received, so its OK to post pictures!  I used a thick-ish brown felt for the case, and a thinner light pink felt for the flowers.  The hot pink detail is also how they are attached...

and here it is being used (just an example, I didn't send my glasses  in the package, don't worry)

5  Re: Altoid Tin Theme Swap Round 4 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by sparklypants on: April 22, 2007 09:40:36 PM
as promised, here are the pictures of my FABULOUS tin!

The outside of the tin: A GUITAR!  She made it using a guitar head she found in an abandoned house, which makes it even cooler.

the inside: the background is a picture of someone on a bike, with plastic birds glued onto the sky... i LOVE the mixed styles of this.

all the goodies inside!  3 fabulous magnets, 3 pretty feathers, an adorable collection of mini sewing things, a keychain, and a CRAZY amount of buttons!

THANK YOU SO MUCH MANDASBRIGHTEYES!!

WARNING: THIS WILL BE PICTURE OBESE.

Part 1, In which I continue obsessing over my package:

AHHHH the package from BatGrrl truly is spectacular, opening the box was as exciting as Christmas morning for a seven year old.  I'm pretty sure she has been stalking me from Wisconsin, because everything was absolutely perfect for me, even the music!

Part 2, In which I may cause swap anxiety due to the pictures of the amazing package:
Here it is all spread out (I had to stand on a chair, haha)

Contents:
1. Ribbed knitted scarf with button embellishments.

2. My favorite- the sock llama.  My mom tried to steal it.  I put up a fight.

3. Blue felt over-the-shoulder purse with brown lining and button embellishments.

4. A scrapbook of 8 CDs all relating to the theme of flying/flight (and some that don't).  I love discovering new music, and she put a lot of great acoustic stuff on here.  She also included 4 CDs of live music that was played at some concerts she hosted.

5. An REVERSIBLE dinosaur apron.

6. A matching octopus and squid, both made from a chenille scarf.

7. a LOT of adorable jewelry made from safari animals and handmade beads!  6 matching sets of earrings/necklaces, 2 seperate necklaces, and 3 separate pairs of earrings.  WOW.

8. Some yummy peppermint green tea.

Everything was labeled with a detailed description/cute anecdote.  And the box was decorated.

If you can't tell, I'm elated right now.  This package officially put me in giddy preteen girl mode.

There are candles, a candlemaking kit (inside the box), a magnet in the shape of a J for Jessica, a purple notepad, and a little coin purse decorated with buttons.

2) The Candlemaking Kit (with instructions)

I haven't talked to her, but I hope she likes it!

9  Button Ornament!! (complete w/ photos) in Winter Holidays by sparklypants on: November 27, 2006 01:16:40 PM
I made this for the "Crafty Ornaments For Your Xmas Tree" swap, but my partner has received so I decided to share and post some pictures.

Its fairly simple to make, just a bit labor intensive and time consuming.

I got my package from Jezebel7383 today!!

4 of the ornaments are glass balls with various things inside them, they are very pretty in person (im not sure how good my camera skills are)

2 of them are gorgeous and shiny and covered in sequins.  These are my favorite, especially because I know they will stand out well on my tree.

The Whole Package (plus cute card)

The Sparkly Ones!!
