12  Re: [Optional Mo. Theme Now!] The Beginner's Top-Down Raglan-Along (patt. included) in Knitalongs by mlcrays on: April 21, 2007 10:47:37 PM
Here are progress pictures of my sweater.
So far I am very proud of my first sweater, eventhough there are a few mistakes.  The good thing is that my mistakes are only known to me, and not to the casual observer.  It looks very fitted, eventhought I did not do any body shaping.

15  most prized crochet piece. in Crochet: Completed Projects by mlcrays on: December 29, 2006 01:08:05 PM
Hello all, I wanted to know which is your most prized crochet piece and why.  It could be something that you made for yourself or for someone else.  Mine most prized crochet piece is a bag I made about three years ago.  I pretty much use it everyday.  Its made of omega la espiga, which is a strong nylon yarn.
So tell me which is your favorite crochet piece? If you have pictures post them also.

Here are mine.  I have made four so far.  All are 90 stiches on size 7 needles.
On the light green one I tried to do the short row wraps but it came out funky, but its my fave one so far.

20  super warm throw in Crochet: Completed Projects by mlcrays on: December 29, 2006 12:34:15 PM
I made this simple throw for my boyfriend's mother for christmas.  It is lion's homespun.  It it super warm, at the end I didn't want to give it away since its so warm.  I had an accident when I was weaving in the ends.  I made a huge the size of a tennis ball in the middle, but I was able to close it.
and a close up of the stich and colors

Now I need to make another one for myself.
