That is so beautiful. I am in awe that it is your first design: the structure of the top and they way the different stitch patterns go together is perfect. You should be so proud!

spacecase, are you making the whole thing with the pretty pink? or are you going to mix in some other colors? 

When I thought I wasn't going to have enough yarn of the same dyelot to make the whole thing, I toyed with the idea of picking a couple shades of pink to match and making a few solid squares to mix in for a more patchwork-y look. It's still an option I'm considering. Strangely enough, with Red Heart, I often have trouble finding solids that are dyed to match their ombres. Don't know why

I used rings from a jewelry repair kit I have.

I'm not sure I can claim I made them when all I did was find the findings and put them together. Whatever  I like 'em a lot.

Thanks! I made these to go with my vintage London Fog raincoat, and they worked perfectly. I can't say enough how much I love this pattern...and this book. I'm getting ready to make two more things from other patterns in the book to give for Christmas presents!

Also, MopTopStumptown, when I started this project I did a search here at craftster to see if anyone else had made it and found yours. It is wonderful! I hope mine is as nice

Last count I had about 26 squares done. You could start to see how the back is going to look if I could get a picture taken that is not absolute yuck



Did not let lack of progress on that project, or lack of time, prevent me from starting another one from the same book



A friend and I are working this pattern together while she learns to crochet. We're doing two different colors. Unfortunately, we won't see hers here because she's not on craftster. (I don't understand it, either.)
