I just finished a costume for the Renaissance Faire here in PA. I think it turned out pretty nice!

More pics and details on my blog.

And this is in addition to the two costumes I still have to finish before Halloween... wish me luck!

Ok, hell and high water (i.e. work and stomach flu) will no longer keep me from posting pictures of my Fall Ball gifts from the talented the littlest ninja!

We decided to do a 'main' gift and a few small surprises. She totally spoiled me!

This is my 'main' gift. This necklace is loosely based on one from my wists. She asked my favorite color (apple green), and went to town from there! I am completely in love with this set.

Close up!

I didn't want to post a pic of myself wearing the because I felt crappy, but I am so enamored with this set that I got dressed (in something other than PJ's), even put on makeup, and did the covergirl thing. [Ignore my scariness.] My brown fabric does no justice to these lovely pieces, you have to see them on a person.

One of my surprise gifts was a tree of life necklace.

Another was this lovely bracelet and earrings set made with freshwater pearls! I <3 freshwater pearls. I'm wearing them to a wedding this weekend, yippee!

Also, not pictured (cause I'm a doofus) are a set of lovely blue and brown stitch markers.

Whaddya say, ladies....is the littlest ninja awesome or what?!

Thank you so much, Stephanie! Grin

Package three = amazing. That's all I can say.

I will venture a guess that I am one of the few (if not the only) uberproud owners of a Ludo wrist cuff! I almost died from excitement when I opened this.
If you haven't already seen Labyrinth, go out and rent it this minute. It is funny, campy, sweet, and stars a much younger Jennifer Connelly, a cast of muppets, and David Bowie's crotch. Trust me, it's amazing.

Anyway, one of the characters from the movie is a seven foot tall muppet named Ludo. I *adore* Ludo. Unfortunately, because the movie came out in the 80's, merchandise featuring him is hard to find.

Shaun of the Dead is one of my favorite movies, as well. And she made me a cuff of that, too! That reminds me...I need to ask what transfer technique she used. The pictures are such great quality!

A sewing grrl's wardrobe is definitely not complete without a measuring tape wrist cuff. Well, I now have *two*! Check out the adorable snaps. How come my snaps never look that nice? Wink My FOCer is truly a crafty goddess.

And the piece d'resistance...an amazing long wallet. First, please revel in the outer fabric. I don't think it could be more 'me' if I had picked it myself. And the tidy topstitching! The seamstress in me fainted.
And the inside...oh, the crazy, zany inside. I absolutely love it! And it's so practical, to boot! I can fit my cell phone, my Burt's Bees lip balm (that I can't leave the house without), change, all my cards, and moolah. With the handy wrist strap, it pretty much eliminates the need for a purse altogether! Extremely handy for bar outings. Smiley

At this point, I have a very good idea of who my partner is...but if you can't guess, I'm not telling! Grin

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

PROBLEM.

When I click the button, it takes me to the first page of the post instead of the most recent.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Otherwise, it looks great! Thanks Leah.

Hmm. Not me.

Check your profile settings... maybe it has something to do with the order of posts you have set up?

My Profile, Look & Layout Preferences for "Show most recent posts at the top." is unselected. Maybe that's something to do with it?

I've seen it mentioned several times that when using the bookmark feature clicking the icon takes you to the first page of the post, not the unread posts. I'm having that issue, and my "show most recent posts at the top" is also unselected.

I love the gushing and thanks for Leah, but wonder if that makes it harder for her to see when people post about issues? I suppose any of us could open a help desk ticket for these things, but I was trying to be patient about it.

I'll jump on this bandwagon. I am also having the first-page-of-the-thread blues.

So it's not everyone? We must just be special. Wink

Yay! Now that Craftster's back up, I can post pictures of the wists surprises that chloeiscrazy sent me!

First, here's a pin based directly on one in my wists. I love it, and I'm planning on making a denim bag especially for it.

She also made a magnet in the same style. This one I'll take to work to cheer up my office.

Here's a really sweet little bracelet. It fits perfectly!

And a Pop-Tart stuffie, which I would have had pictures of, but my sister has stolen it! You are very popular in my house, Chloe. I will try to get it back from her, but trust me in the meantime that it is adorable!

She also decorated the cutest little coin purse for me. I love the flower on the outside, and she even embroidered my initials on the inside! My younger sister (yet another one) has tried to buy this coin purse off of me! (Told you you were popular Wink ) I, of course, told her no Smiley

Thank you so much for all the lovely goodies, chloeiscrazy!

Look how nikkidear spoiled me!

She sent me not one, but *three* shirts! Check out the excellent transfer quality.

And a close up. The green one is my favorite!

She also sent me a set of three Shaun of the Dead magnets. One is in Italian, and one is in Spanish. "Zombie Party....una noche de muerte!" And a zombie finger puppet, which completely cracked me up.

Thank you so much, nikkidear!! You package will be on its way soon, I promise. Thank you for your patience with me.
