1  Some Funky New Glass Bead Bracelets - Leopard Hearts and Green Kitties, oh my! in Beads: Completed Projects by glittergutsnglue on: June 30, 2006 05:46:55 PM
I found this lovely little glass bead shop when I was at the beach, and these are two of the results.  The pictures aren't the greatest, but I do hope you'll give 'em a squint and let me know what you think Smiley

I've recently started messing around with knotting cord for necklaces, and while I have a bunch of sea shell ones I made at the beach that I would like to post here, I made this one today and wanted to get some thoughts on it.  I got the butterfly pendant at Jo Ann's, and I used faux pearls and plastic gem-like beads. 



The picture's not the best ever - I had to use my scanner - but do tell me what you think Smiley

I made this recently from some beads I thought I'd never use and an awesome charm/centerpiece/whatever you want to call it I actually found at Jo Ann's.  You can't see it too well in the picture, but the beads are these really sheeny, multi-color reflecting things that were meant to go with this lovely, vintagey-looking colorful metal collage and nothing else...



 

What do you think?  I'd like to start making more of my own charms and such - It would have to be clay or something, most likely, as I don't really have a lot of experience working with metals.  I try to find funky, vintage stuff when I can, but this little piece just screamed out at me at Jo Ann's.
