My inspiration was a drawing I did last year (pictured below.) Basically the idea is this is all the stuff the housekeeping staff finds in a hotel suite once a glam rock band evacuate the premises. I started out with a ripped out mcdonalds ad from a magazine and glued on musically inspirited pictures. Some of the things included are: an old can of hairstyle (got to have that helmet hair when you're rocking out), some groupie's numbers, an abandoned thong (from a late night booty call of course) etc. I wanted to add a empty bottle of liquor but I don't drink so I had none handy. I was really tempted to add on some burnt up joints or a plastic bag with mysterious contents but vetoed the idea. Hope you find it amusing. I didn't think to turn off the flash until I had already uploaded the pictures but they should be visible. 2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Costume with crutchs on: September 10, 2005 02:08:13 PM
I had surgery a month ago and by the time halloween comes around I'll still be on crutchs so I was wondering if anyone could come up with a costume including crutchs? All i've been able to come up with so far is an accident victim. I'm not the greatest of sewers so (last year I went as a stood-up prom date =tacky 80's dress, runny make-up, and a empty carton of chunky monkey and hankie in hand) if the costume can be put together with pre-existing elements that would help. thanks
3  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Bears for Beslan on: October 24, 2004 07:17:01 PM
I relise this isn't the crafting for good forum but I felt I could reach more crocheters that were willing to join the cause here:
My journalism teacher has come up with the idea of sended crocheted bears to the children that have been affected by the Beslan crisis. It's a very simple crochet pattern so dont be intimidated if you're a beginner. We've set a goal of 500 crocheted bears and we would appreciate any help we can get. The following site talks about the project in more detail and has a link to the pattern:

p.s. we would also appreciate any donations of any kind (ex. yarn, handmade cards etc.) that you could send along as well.

Howdy everyone!
Yes I relize it's not august but it will be soon, which means it will be my birthday soon, along with many of yours. I just came up with this idea.I'm sure I'm not alone in this, but dont you just love getting gifts? Even if they're for no reason, they make you feel all happy and loved dont they? Well here's my idea: get a bunch of august borns and other lovely people that just want to join in , and exchange birthdays ( or just a chosen date, for a un-birthday for all you that arn't born in august) and addresses, and hopefully the result is each of us gets a lovely extra present for our un/birthdays! Sound fun? OK lets set the deadline to join to be....July 28!
To review pm should include:

Hey everyone,
I recently got an invite to an underwear exchange. It sort of works like a chainletter because your supposed to send it to six people, but the problem is none of my friends see the fantastic fun in this. If its done right, you end up getting 36 new undies from all over the place ( new of course)Anyone interested in this exchange? PM me and let me know your Name, address, size, and a preference in style if you care, and let me know if you're ok with sending over seas. Let the underwear-craze begin!

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Patterns for skirts that cover up left leg * sounds odd I know on: May 03, 2004 06:56:19 PM
Ok let me explain. I have a rather large scar on the upper portion my left leg due to multiple surgeries but also like to wear flirty-kind-of-skirts and dresses that have slits. But most of these have the slit on the left side. Anyone know of any patterns with a slit on the right or is high on the right? like something like this:

Anyone know of a similar pattern to this dress?
